Changing the world Dead Poets' Society Quote Minigames challenge
    Author: Earlybird-Obi-Wan
    Timeframe: saga
    Genre: one shot
    Characters: Anakin Skywalker

In response to the challenge provided by @devilinthedetails where I got
Quote #5 is: "No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world."

    Changing the world

He was the hero with no fear; Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker.
    He had slain Count Dooku.
He had rescued the supreme chancelor Palpatine and his friend Obi-Wan Kenobi.
He had dreamt and seen his beloved Padmé dying during childbirth.
He had visited his great friend Palpatine at the opera.
He had heard the soothing words.
He had heard that the Jedi wanted to control the republic and to betray Palpatine.
He had heard that the Sith are even more powerful not being afraid of the dark side.
He had heard that a Sith lord could keep the loved ones from dying.
He had heard that it was possible to learn this power but not from the Jedi.

The Jedi had wanted control. They were going to arrest Palpatine.
    They were slain.
He had prevented the slaying of Palpatine.
He had accepted him as his new master.
He had taken his new name:
    Darth Vader.

He had stopped the war on Mustafar, slaying the Seperatist leaders.
He had been fighting against his best friend, his former master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
He had lost his legs and an arm.
He refused to die when he became engulfed in flames.
He endured the pain when he was rebuilt into a life-saving prison.
He had heard that he had killed Padmé and his unborn child.

    His world had changed.
He was now serving an emperor.
He had become a slayer of Force sensitives.
He was fighting against the rising rebellion.
He felt a familiarity when he captured the princess of Alderaan.
He felt it again when he was fighting against his former friend.
He saw Obi-Wan Kenobi saluting him.
He cut and saw only a brown cloak drifting down.
    He discovered the rebel base.
He escaped the destruction of the first Death Star.

He confronted his son on Bespin.
He asked him to join him, revealing that he was his father.
He saw his son plunging down the shaft.

He saw his son again after the capture on Endor.
He had to fight Luke when he felt that there was a sister too.
He felt the power from his son.
He remembered Palpatine, the Sith master Darth Sidious, the man with the soothing words, twisting his view with words and ideas that changed the world.

    He could change the world.
He threw Palpatine down the shaft but after receiving a deadly lightning bolt to his armour.
He saw the love of his son when his face was revealed.

He became one with the Force.
He was united with Padmé, with Obi-Wan, with all his friends.
    He was redeemed.
He was the chosen one, making a difference.
    He was Anakin Skywalker.

Great job! Both Palpatine and Vader definitely changed the world with their ideas and words. As you show here, Vader even did it twice-- once when going toward Palpatine, once when going away from him. I like how you "book-end" this with Anakin's name to show that's who he really is. Great work!

Oh, nice job with this. I think you said a lot in a short amount of space and took a powerful look at Anakin, the choices that he made both for good and for bad, and the positive and negative consequences that his actions had on the galaxy as a whole. You really showed how much different words and ideas not only defined Anakin but also shaped the galaxy and Anakin's role in the galaxy. Also, you were very effective at showing how Palpatine could twist words to manipulate Anakin and others into believing his twisted ideas. So we can see both the good and the bad in terms of how ideas and words can change the world. A very deep piece in exploring its themes and characters!
