London, ON Chistmas?

As everyone knows on Dec 16 we are showing the Star Wars Holiday Special. Is there anyone who would be interested in making this a Xmas party.

We can all bring treats like a pot-luck.
We can draw names for a secret santa gift, set a limit at say $10.

 

So far I'm available, and I like making food, but I don't have much luck with pot luck dinners. Unless it's something like 1 person bring potatoes, 1 person bring stuffing/dressing, etc.

 

It would be desserts like cookies & cakes instead of a meal. Seeing as the meeting starts at 6:00 pm. most of us will have had dinner.

I'm not sure if i'd be able to go. If it's on the 24th then I'm out. I'm not sure if I'm working that day but I'm going to my grandparents that night.

 

The 24th of December is a Monday anyway.

For the secret Santa everyone brings a wraped star wars related gift costing between $5 & $10. When you get there write your name on a piece of paper and put it in a box. After the show everyone will draw a name and that's who you give the gift to.

Just a reminder and to inform new people. Sunday Dec 16th at 6:00 pm. is our X-mas party. Everyone needs to bring a holiday snake like cake or cookies and one small present costing $5 to $10 for the secret Santa.

Well there is a lot of snow out there. If everyone is concerned about driving in this weather we can change the Christmas party.

 

Just got back from Timmies and the roads were pretty much crap. my vote (at this moment) would be to can it until next weekend. If the plows get out sometime soon that could change things. Wanna give it until about 4pm?? or does everyone else want to just wait until next weekend?

i had to drive home last night at like two in the morning, im definatly not up for driving in this weather, my vote is that we have a rain check

 

Ok, So when do we want to reschedule for.

The only day we can't have the garrison is Monday.
I can't do next weekend and Friday we have the trip to the Women's Centre.

 

I walked to Sherwood Forest Mall this afternoon, and talked to some people who drove. The main roads weren't bad, just take it slow, and stay on the main roads. If people want to wait for next weekend though, I'm still available. I need to know by 5:30 though, as that's when I plan on leaving.

 

Since my last post was at the same time as Rob's....

I'm free any day but Monday and Thursday after 7 this week. I'm NOT available on Saturday though, before or after Christmas.

 

Monday is out for us and most weeknights are not good for me since I won't know what time I'll be getting back to town until later in the day. This past Thursday I wasn't back until 10pm and after a 15 hour day I just want to go home. It doesn't have to be before X-mas, early in the New Year would work to.
