Why does the Interstellar poster have all of the Inception information on it?

This seems wildly idiotic. If there was really a global collapse, widespread food insecurity, and a lack of reliable governance, are you honestly telling my the thing to be distraught over is that NASA doesn't exist anymore? Would anyone honestly feel more comforted about widespread lawlessness, famine, war, and unchecked pandemics if at least a few dozen people were doing low-orbit Earth missions a few times a year? Really?

I thought this was set in the future?

But whatever... the plot seems completely unoriginal, as others have already said.

It has a good director and some good actors, but that doesn't mean this will be a good movie.

I take very little stock in pre-distribution blurbs for consumption. What I care about is what the trailers look like and who the cast are / who made the film. I'm at least positively stoked about the latter...

If it really was official I would still complain about the fact it looks like every other movie poster out there Inception, After Earth, Star Trek Into Darkness and etc.

Anyways just based on the fact this is a Nolan film has my curiousity peaked and the fact its a sci-fi film has it peaked even more since I love that genre of movies.

I'm really ready for Nolan to get back on track. Both Inception and The Dark Knight Rises were really disappointing. Here's hoping he gets back to making stuff like Memento, The Dark Knight, The Prestige.

Just wait. It's gonna get like a 75% on RT, and all of the fanboy rage will cause WWIII. Not the bombing of Syria, Fanboy Rage.

Rather than a society fallen apart as commentary on today's views and possibilities I would have rather had something decades ahead where more of a presence is in space showing the possibility for a positive exploration trend and either they discover the wormhole as is suggested or else they make one and give it a go.

But, I'm not gonna worry much about the chosen environment that coming in the advert.

It's basically going to be a three-way death match involving Nolan-ites, Brown Coats, and Moffat-ians.

I would love to see a good movie that realistically addresses the age-old genre fantasy of interstellar travel as the key to escaping our population and environmental problems on earth. That's one of the reasons Star Trek and all its many imitators are so useless.
