What if it's poisoned? Should we inform the authorities if we don't hear from you in the next hour or two?

    Sounds tasty Lady B!

Frank T. You ought to see Dr. Strange, it is definitely one of the best of the MCU. Quite original and refreshing, imo. I also thought Civil War was an outstanding film.

The Ultimate Edition of BvS is a modern masterpiece for me. The theatrical version? Not at all. I think many people who were lukewarm about BvS only saw the theatrical which is nowhere near as good as the UE, imo.

EDIT: I just saw Bardan Jusik's red text and I thought something happened! Good one!

I can totally be bribed. :p

Edit: I know, right Dags! I panicked for a minute. :p

I just find their movies to (mostly) be unique in their own rights so that they don't become stale for me. I like the flamboyant tone they possess. It provides an escape. Something DC hasn't done for me.

To be honest, I just don't see the appeal in BvS, or Suicide Squad, especially the former. I don't see a masterfully crafted universe. All I see is a mess. A mess that can be scrapped and saved, but still a mess. Sorry.

And, no, I'm not disagreeing with you on the Netflix shows. I'd go as far as to say they are better than most of the MCU movies (only behind the two Russo Brothers directed Cap movies). Hell, The Defenders might be my second most anticipated piece of media coming out in 2017.

Dagobahsystem - To be honest, I found Doctor Strange to be one of the blander installments in the MCU. :p

Oh I definitely wanna see it. The trailers make it look like it'll probably be my fave MCU entry so far. Civil War is frustrating for me. First of all I didn't think it lived up to the comix Civil War. Secondly, it was the weakest of the Cap trilogy to me. I liked the first one the most. Winter Soldier started well for me and that action scene in the middle where Rogers first fights Bucky on the freeway was better than anything in CA:CW including the airport scene but WS goes off the rails for me after that. Lastly, with Civil War the film, the airport fight was the only memorable part and rewatching it I find it only half holds up. Alot of the humor doesn't hold up. Ant Man and Giant Man is funny. But that's it. That's the only takeaway that film leaves me with.

I think the theatrical version is sorta like an epic movie trying to be an action movie. This led to some editing that I felt made the film a unique, dream-like experience. It also causes some editing weirdness that I can see how it threw some people off. The UE has lost all that and plays more like a traditional epic and smooths out some of the rough/odd editing and sequencing. Makes it seem much closer to a masterpiece.

Have I asked you lot your most anticipated 2017 films yet? I honestly can't remember, and I don't want to search through my thousands of ****** excuses for posts to find it.

Bardan Edit: Language, you have to star out the entire word.

Have you seen The Fifth Element? The trailer for Valerian is great but my love of Fifth Element is why I'm really excited about this new flick.

Very superhero heavy near the top, but those movies are the ones that get the most publicity, and as such, they are on my radar.

The Fifth Element is one of my top all-time favs. LOVE it. And agreed, I knew nothing of the story behind this movie but ever since finding out Luc Besson would be behind it, I've been following its progress..

You're right, I do know better and usually do use the edit to avoid the doubles but I guess I just brain farted this time. I did do it right like 3 times already just today though! You want me to edit that one now or does it not matter now?

If only I had the budget to go out and see more movies like that. I only see movies that I have some interest in seeing. I'm unfortunately not invited to press screenings. ;(

I guess 10 Cloverfield Lane could be one. It wasn't on the anticipation level of Civil War or Rogue One.

    Does that count?
