I know I have my moments

yes OOK, we are quite serious when we say most of us do suffer from sort of mental affliction, from mood to anxiety disorders to personality disorders I imagine, we wouldn't joke about that sort of stuff

and you're right, I know a lot of Australians, all very nice people

 

Ok, it's just one of those night I guess where I take everything seriously. These clients at my job do get to me sometimes.

 

Not a problem. Most, if not all of us can be pretty hard to handle sometimes with the quirks associated with our illnesses. I know I certainly can, though I don't mean to be. However I think it's a bit assuming to label every one of us a childish, manipulative convict

 

Understandable.
I wasn't offended, I knew you probably were frustrated with something else and meant it towards them.

I don't consider myself mentally ill, my father is. I consider myself to have emotional issues.

 

I consider myself mentally ill just as I am physically ill, but I tell myself that even though each day is a challenge, I have the strength to make it through.

Thank you Volshe I wasn't speaking generally ......I wouldn't speak that way about a certain population of people. I was referring to the specific clients with mental illnesses that I take care of for a living. I'm a mental health paraprofessional btw

 

Wow, what a vocation. What got you into that?

 

I care about people. Other guys are interested in how cars work.......I'm interested in how the mind works. My mother was mentally ill growing up. I had a neurological/personality disorder growing up.......which I'm pretty sure I've outgrown now. You know the usual reasons

 

Gotcha What was the disorder if you're comfortable saying? I'm just curious, feel free to not answer my extensive questions if you don't want to

I wanted to be in psychology but I really can't deal with that with my state. It takes a lot!

 

nobody knows the mind of a mentally ill patient except those who are mentally ill
