So tempted to to click on those spoilers...I can make it--less than one day! I may have accidentally seen something, but I also accidentally saw something that contradicted it. Just finished ROTJ...love how I can still pick up little things I've missed.

I explained it pretty succinctly in the Empire vs Rebellion thread. I don't see them as soulless monsters, I never have. I've liked them since I was 4, and over the years I've just collected various evidence and arguments that really does make them seem like a neutral force in general, just as I see the Republic as a neutral force. As for Firmus, he's got a personality - he's smart, seemingly ambitious, competent, has little quirks and such (thanks to Ken). He's very human and I just think he's really darn awesome. Also looks good in that uniform. Heh.

I won't go into much more detail than that, since I don't really want to start too much of an argument, but if you are willing to discuss it (and anyone else wants to), you can PM me about it. As long as you don't call me any mean names (which has happened).
