I'm ok I think what happened was my thumb was closer to the flame than I thought it was and my nerves didn't pick up the fact until it was too late. Yes, I do start very easily.

 

well, I think I will win the cooking club contest.
Requirements: a cupcake that requires no electric mixer, has fall flavors, unusual icing, no baking soda, and still tastes amazing.
I think I will win with my pumpkin sage cupcakes with honey icing.

the icing is a little stiff though. it tastes a lot like creamed honey, just not as cloyingly sweet.

 

So jealous right now

 

I added half the amount of sugar tot he cupcakes because the first batch were sickly sweet. they went to the elderly of the neighborhood who cant actually taste very well. they are savory, with a hint of sage and pepper that makes them amazing. also, they have no eggs.

 

well, I made pots de crème yesterday for a few of them. it was pretty good, only problem was that I ran out of ornate bowls and just did jello shot glasses of it. made it last longer though.
im don't have a ranking in cooking club, but im good at making things up and they work.

apart from the book of Job, for me James is a bit too hard to understand,

he is a bit "thou art must be perfect to be worthy"

while I prefer the "it is by grace you are saved, not from works"

faith + works= no grace, as far as I'm concerned

don't get me wrong I know what he is saying "how can you claim to be for Christ and still sin?"

unfortunately for some of us..sinning is part and parcel of being human
