JCC Coffee!

So, is anyone here a coffee connoisseur?

I am a bit of a coffee snob, I must admit.

 

I love particular brands of coffee and particular flavors. Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee for K-cups and Gevalia - any flavor, but particularly the chocolate raspberry. That one is superb! The berryness just melds into the chocolate/coffee flavor. And if you put caramel in it I will drink it!

 

I'll drink anything with caffeine in it except those disgusting energy drinks unless they also have vodka in them.

 

I was a bit of a connoisseur once, but my caffeine tolerance has raised itself to such a point that only the strongest cheapest supermarket grind gives me any kind of buzz these days, so I've kind of just settled into drinking that. I've turned into the equivalent of the middle-class wine snob who ends up drinking a can of Special Brew on a street corner. Pathetic really.

Note to self for 2016: get low caffeine tolerance back, start appreciating Proper coffee again.

 

Not really a coffee fan - it smells a lot better than it tastes to me. I get my caffeine from Mountain Dew or Diet Coke..

 

Gross, dirt water.

 

You know, Special Brew was originally meant as a 'fancy' beer in honour of Winston Churchill...

I generally avoid supermarket coffee and get mine from a tea and coffee merchant.

Right, so mavjade and I went to Costa Rica for our main vacation this year (after a week of Star Wars-ing in April). We brought back 12 pounds of coffee, to the point where I had them all in their own bag, with receipts, as I'd assumed we'd get stopped for smuggling drugs.

Generically, I prefer good iced coffee / cold brew -- since I like to gulp AND like the taste of good coffee, and if it's hot I need to add milk in order to cool it down -- but am okay with whatever. I think we decided we liked the Costa Rican organic Tarrazu bean brand best...

 

I love coffee, but I'm not all that picky. There are types of coffee I like better than others, but I'll usually drink whatever is available.
The only thing I get upset about is if it's not made well. Because I drink it black, if it's burnt or just way too strong (and I like it strong) I might get a bit grumpy.

 

Krispy Kreme?

I've tied their coffee and donuts. The both suck.

 

I hate myself a lot but not enough to drink coffee.

I love New Mexican Piñon coffee. I do like Starbucks coffee, but only because it’s really the only option here unless I go to Madison where they have Colectivo coffee, and that has a good strong taste. I like bitter coffee lol.

 

To me, anything that's not just black coffee is children's coffee.
Except cappuccino, that's old ladies' coffee.

I can't drink straight black anymore. I have to use creamer because I'm a terrible person.

 

You’d be less terrible if you just used milk.

I only drink cold brew, or iced if I hate myself. Hot coffee is for dying boomers in a nursing home. You are disgusting if you drink hot coffee, unless it’s after lunch.

 

I always use milk because my family has three dairy cows. Creamer tastes gross to me.

 

Now, coffee mixed with bailey's. Sinful or no?
