Collectormania 8 : 30th Spetember to 2nd October - Organisation Thread

Hey, I'm new here, but I'll definately be attending C8.
For the Costumers out there, it's just been announced that there will be a Costuming Competition on Sunday - so yay!
And of course you all know that the UKG will be there

 

Shame though because alot of the usual costumers are now pulling out.

I know I have, Tippin has, rel is having problems and LOTR there isn't costuming on the Sunday

 

LOL! Thanks for that, I needed a good laugh! Trust me, you're better off walking. It isn't that far really, and you'll almost certainly get there before you would if you got the bus.

Unfortunately I won't be able to join you lovely people on the Saturday. University beckons. *sigh* I'll go on Friday if I can escape the mammoth task of packing all my junk for a couple of hours.

You ever tried packing a mammoth? Not easy!

 

Seriously? I've never been on it but I was told it was good! Oh well...

 

So is our count rapidly going down Serena?

 

Not really...we still have 11 members = + friends. That'll be about 15.

I am so excited about this Collectors fair, first FFUK meet, first public costume.

So when are we meeting up, then, guys? (Yes, I realise that I either 1-have the memory span of a fish or 2-am too lazy to read - next comment, please! )

 

We are meeting at 2:00 PM on Saturday, near John Lewis. Serena has drawn a groovy map pin-pointing (sort of) the exact location. I'm sure if who ask nicely she'll post it again

John Schiender has also now had to cancel
A real shame but hopefully they will be able to get him again, and I guess that means Smallville is still going strong

hey ! how ya doin. I'm hoping this crappy cold will have gone by the weekend, although my pulse pistol hasnt arrived so god know what costume I'll be wearing. I wanted to be in Farscape stuff.

How far will it take?

Well I would suggest taking a bus as everyone with experience seems to think its a long way...that should take about 15mins I guess
