so does that mean that the stuff that happened before the new 52 doesn't count then?

 

The New 52 is more of a reboot than Crisis on Infinite Earths, so ascribing feats from a--what are we calling that now? Crisis era?--character to a New 52 character would be like citing a pre-crisis feat, only actually kind of worse since some characters actually went through the crisis totally unchanged.

 

personally, i think i'd rather wait til next draft to use the new 52, that way there'd be a larger amount of things to actually... you know compare, but that's just me. dunno what anyone else feels about that.

 

I wouldn't want to use the New 52, either. There's not a whole lot of history to establish comparison yet.

I mean, just look at Superboy vs Grunge there. He's getting the snot beat out of him. By Grunge. Where does that put Grunge's strength in New 52? Where does it put Con's durability? I have no idea.

Plus with it being a total reboot, we can now use the post-crisis era with a full knowledge of exactly what they can do.

 

I'd asked about new 52 in the discussion thread and was given the impression that we were not going to use it. New 52 is inconsistent at best even two years in. I'd much rather wait until next draft before going into new 52.

 

if even then. if it's still inconsistent i'd say just stick with the crisis era.

 

It isn't inconsistent if you go into it forgetting what came before, which is what you are supposed to do as it is a franchise reboot. We can wait it out though, doesn't matter either way to me.
