[Con] C3 Caravan Stuff

I am absolutely sure that I can get at least one more person in my car. Maybe 2 if we are careful of how we pack things. Gotta keep the old DJ mask from getting crushed. I got rid of my ol Cavalier and now have a PT Cruiser. More space and 4 whopping doors!

So any way...yeah...1 definately possibly 2. if 2 people want to drive with me an bone, I will make the space appear.

And I still got 2 spaces available in my hotel room. Unless better accomidations appear between now and then.

looks like we'll be driving ourselves out there- and just to let you know- i meant to say we're p-lanning on leaving more like 2ish on tuesday, (we have classes until like 1, and we're already missing 3 days of classes.) I figure with 4 drivers swapping in and out- we can get pretty far tuesday night, push through to indy on wed. Lets keep the lines open though- lots can happen in 2 1/2 months. peace

We'll have a phone tree set up for the Caravaners when the time comes... So, if you make it Missouri before we leave on Wednesday you can join up w/ the group

 

Maybe ya'll should have a free-standing, unlimited person conference call with all parties that never shuts down for the entire event....FLOL!

 

My cell will should have service the whole way.It might not work out near the kansas border,but Tmobile says itll work for sure once we are about 40 miles in the border.So if all else fails we can stay in communication to coordinate any possible meet ups.

SS...I thought I posted this before, but I guess not. The rancor will be able to come apart in 7 pieces -- left arm, right arm, head, torso, hips, left leg, and right leg.

That's the plan, anyway.

Departing Tuesday, between 1 and 2 PM, arriving between 3 and 5PM thursday.

Im going to try to get my buddies to come by this site- introduce themselves, and all that. Hopefully i'll have some more info on our exact mode of transportation as well.

For those of you who haven't figured out your transportation yet and are looking to keep costs down, I am planning to leave Denver late Wednesday night to arrive in time for the convention Thursday afternoon.

I will be driving a Pontiac Sunfire sedan so I have room for 1, maybe 2, other people who would be willing to caravan with me. I'm planning to travel light and my car has a CD player, Sirius satellite radio and gets about 25 MPG. Very comfy, smooth ride!

I will be at the Feb meeting and can meet and talk about it with those interested then. You can also PM or email me, too. Thanks!

Hmmm...

1,034 mile trip from Denver to Indianapolis.

9 hour head start.

Maximum RECOMMENDED speed of trailer = 45 MPH.

ZOO leaves Denver at 7AM travelling at a speed of 45 MPH. She gets pulled over for travelling 10 miles under the 55 MPH minimum on I-25, but is able to talk her way out of it because the trailer can be considered a special case. The stop takes 15 minutes. TMAN leaves Denver at 4PM travelling at a speed of 80 MPH. At what point during the insane road trip will TMAN pass ZOO?

 

we are taking I-70 25 would not get us there.

ok so that is the recommend speed. i can tell you...moving out here from TN.

i had the Mid-size moving truck with a trailer with my car up on it. yeah let's just say i about DOUBLED that maximum recommended speed.

 

When we went to the Wyoming state fair in a Durango while towing a trailer we kept a constant 75MPH! 80-85 on nice downhills.

 

No, I just think Zoom has been listening to SC talk about my driving too much, and just made the assumption that way

However, I will state this for the record... THERE WILL BE NO SPEEDING IN KANSAS!!! Trust me, those guys have nothing better to do, than to sit in a hiding spot, in their unmarked, non-standard police cars and hand out speeding tickets... It is Kansas afterall, but just ask JD about the ticket thing
