    Turns out my heritage sucks at breakfast.
    Being of Lithuanian birth, I decided to give Blinis a try. Blinis are a thin pancake popular in Russia and the surrounding areas. Thin pancakes are a sad substitue for fluffy American style pancakes. That is all.

    The only pancake alternative that I find satisfactory for both taste and sheer bloatation & fat-forming are potato pancakes. There is a local Israeli diner here that serves 4 gigantic potato pancakes with apple sauce as the topping and it is marvelous. Unless you ask my doctor after a blood test.
