    First of all, a happy new year to all.

    I had some time during the holidays. So I updated most of the artifacts in the room. The large vases, the fountain and the lights.
    The next picture shows the large vase that is near the center entrance. You can see the updates that I did. I will do updates of the textures at a lager stage
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/wip_largevase.jpg]
    Here are all the artifacts placed in the room
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/wip_plane6.jpg]
    I also added the hallway's; the two on the side entrances and the one in the middle. This one in the middle is only as far as you can see, because this is all the information I have on it at the moment (based on the next picture from the movie).
    I also added the candle stand that is there as well

    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/wip_plane7.jpg]

    So next up are the sofa's.

    Does any one have a large pictrue of the coruscant landscape for this room that I can use?
    Like the next picture, but then in day light?

    Let me try... Fries? :p
    I have searched for a picture, but couldn't find one :(

    You're really doing a great job with this model. I can't wait to see more updates.

    (Happy Newyear too!)

    Yep a Fries.

    I have finished the sofa and the pillow's. This was a bit difficult because there is a lot of detail in the sofa.

    That is a greath picture, thanks. I have to do some photoshoping, to get the verandah out, but that looks possible. I have also started with a day light picture. This will give me the posseblity to make a day light and night render of the scene.

    So this took me some more time than I tought. The outside of the top building was not that difficult, but the inside was a bit tricky. I will make a new picture of the inside soon, here is the overall picture.

    Next up are the curtains.

    Ok, here are the curtains.

    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/wip_plane11.jpg]

    Next up are the statues, I have already worked on them, should not be long before I have finished them as well.
    Then only the sides of the building and the modeling parts (the most fun) is finished. Then the texturing. I hope I can finish before the deadline.

    No I did not study at the Filmacademie, I am a simple software engineer.

    As I stated before, I have been working altrough on the two statues. I have very good ref. pictures of them so I could see what I did wrong in my first attempt.

    Here are some pictures of my first attempt: Started out with a box, untill you get something that looks like a satue
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/statue1.jpg]
    And here is the update, they have much more detail on them now.
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/statue2.jpg]
    Here some final pictures with some texturing and E-Lights.
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/statue3.jpg]

    Polygon count of both statues is 49220.

    And adding them to the building model it looks like this
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/max/wip_plane12.jpg]

    They look a bit dark, but I will fix that when I use propper lights

    No, the only character modeling that I did, was the tutorial one provided with Max

    I try to get the same effect as in the movie, where the wind is playing with them. But the light also make them, reflect to much. I will see what I can do to correct this.
