    they aren't England, heh

    110/2

If they hit 250, it's over. The Sri Lankan bowling attack is too good.

Wait, what match is Hal watching? :p

SL is now 3/121. I forgot about this match. It's not being shown here. :(

Good luck NZ, I'll see what happened in the morning.

Oh well, looks like NZ were pretty much brushed aside. Odds on Aus vs SL final then.

Good stuff, I can keep calling you J. P. Thirty then. :p

I'm hoping Ponting and Hayden will be the top 2 runscorers in the tournament by the time the SA game is over.

here's hoping fleming can now go out and just score runs without having to worry about all the captaincy baggage as well, let vettori take all the presssure :D

would have preferred an all anzac final, but no dice :(

i hear ya. weak way to finish the tournament. at one point i thought they might have had a sniff with Styris hitting a few shots, but as soon as he went, it was all over.

rematch of '96. i'll be rooting for Sri Lanka.

    27/5 off 10.

Should have been 27/6 off 10.1, Bucknor missed a nick :(

5/62! This is awesome! I've just turned her on. And I got to see all the wickets because they replayed them, including the nick that Marcus mentioned.

Australia is going very, very nice.

Edit: Oh yes, I didn't post in this thread before. Unfortunate about NZ. :( I was really hoping they would make it.

I was worried about him, I have horrifying memories of his hatchet job in that epic game a while back. Now we're in the tail though :)

My thoughts exactly. A few runs had piled on since the previous wicket, and Gibbs can certainly be a worry. I mean, this world cup he did the six 6's, so he's still got it in him. Now though, it's a lot easier to see the Aussies clean up.

    Edit: 7/93 :D :D :D

Edit2: Pollock was just c&b by Hogg.

Edit3: All out for 149. I'm sleeping now.

    A most deserved win.

What a pity there have been no close games amongst the top sides in the semis. Hopefully the final won't be so one-sided.

If anything Australia's had an easier time of it than last world cup.

Hopefully the final will be a good match

I hope so too, but I can't see it. The Aussies appear to be in a league of their own right now. They have so much batting depth it's unbelievable, and their so called unbalanced bowling attack has humbled NZ, SA and kept SL to little over 200.

Very good point. Nobody has scored a massive total off of us in this world cup.

    It's McGrath.

pity only one team turned up to play. with Watson back in the line up, Australia's balance is restored. this team will not lose on Saturday.

I dunno, if Murali and Malinga are on song and the Aussies bat first...

In fact I predict the team to bat first will lose. First batting team will be dismissed relatively cheaply - maybe 240-260 and after that the opening-batting team's momentum will be lost into the 2nd innings too.

well if the strategy of holding back murali and maralinga works, then good on them, but i don't think murali will make a huge diff, he has worse stats vs the aussies than any other team.

maralinga is the one the aussies will watch for, and if they target him like they have targetted some of the sa bowlers, could be fun.

as for the totals, the last final had australia make, what 356 or higher, both teams had better lift their game or this world cup will be seen as a lame duck world cup where the icc borked up the scheduling and it just got worse from there
