Progress update on Facebook:

I’m on page 805 and counting … A little over 200 pages to go! I’ll see you guys again for another update on 11/30! … I suspect that once I do the layout, the page count should be smaller… and then I add the illustrations and maps and Cult Encounters and it’ll get big again!

Thank you! As someone who's been reading/helping edit SE's drafts for a while now, I really can't wait until people can just discuss the fun, exciting new parts I've been reading through and not all this heavy, annoying drama that surrounds it.

12/15/21 You Win Some and you Lose Some...

Hey guys,

It's update-time! So, I've got some good news and some bad news to talk about before I get into the update itself.

Let's start with the bad. Wookieepedia has apparently ruled that Cult Encounters and Supernatural Encounters won't be included on their site and are currently pulling down all the articles that referenced them. I just learned this today, so I don't know if they're going to pull the many articles that were also labeled as questionable canonicity, but this is the approach they've taken to SE. No one from that organization ever reached out to me for clarification or to ask questions.

Based on what I've read, they seem to feel that while SE was indeed licensed and approved, the fact that I continued editing/writing after 2015 makes that later portion fan-fiction. What the editors of Wookieepedia don't seem to understand is that not only was I given permission to do so (as demonstrated in the letters I made public), but that a significant body of the post-2015 work has been expansion of dialogue, characterization, and details from elements that were already there. But perhaps more significantly is the fact that LFL does not do line-by-line lore approval. They do project approval.

It's not unreasonable that fans think it's the former. That's how it was for Tom Veitch and Tim Zahn in 1990. But it hasn't been like that for a long, long time. Frankly, I wish it was. It would have helped weed out a lot of the contradictions that came through over the years. But it's not.

Of course, Wookieepedia is free to adopt whatever policies they want, but an approach based on misinformation is not the wisest course when a simple fact-check or conversation with me would have set matters straight. I'm disappointed, of course, but my sole concern has to be on the quality of this project. With that in mind...

Now the good news:

Nick Joseph--who played Arhul Hextrophon in Episode IV: A New Hope--reached out to me! Not only will he be getting a copy of the book, but he wants to be involved in the audio-drama in some capacity. In that regard, I leave that to the capable hands of the great Kyle Rawlings, who’s in charge of that project. In any case, it's quite exciting and humbling!

As to the update itself, I have surpassed page 1,000! (Just a tiny bit of clarification: this is still unformatted and double-spaced. I use these page numbers so that we're all on the same page. It's not a final page count.)

So, I'm almost there! A lot of the material that follows the next big Sith chapters have already been edited by me. So, what we have seen lately?

The Statue of Korman Lao

I don't get why Wookieepedia is deleting info about SE add-ons from the Legends articles, it was fine in the behind the scenes section, it helps to research this stuff.

Different red eyes from different shows the top is from boba's vision quest in book of boba season 1 episode 2 the second is from Mando season 2 episode 1 and the third is dark Yoda from the force priestess arc of clone wars. I just noticed the similarity to the shadow beings from SE even know the red eyes in all three represent different things
