ST Cuteness Battle: Your Favorite Creature in the ST

Perhaps the most difficult poll of all time.

Which creature did you like best from The Last Jedi?

Cuteness is an obvious factor, but not the only one.

I've got some specific selections below but here's an article if you wane some other examples:

I didn't care for the whole Canto Bight sequence, but I did like the fathiers. I feel bad for how they were treated, and they seem like quite intelligent animals.

 

I know it wasn't the intention but it seems almost unfair to include the Lanai in this since they're clearly a more advanced species and closer to the types of advanced aliens seen at the Casino in general.

Really tough call here on the other animal creatures though. I think they did an amazing job of world building with the inclusion of animals/creatures like this.

 

Am I shoe-horning them in? I guess so. But I too voted porgs anyway.

 

Porgs. They were surprisingly the least 'forced' and felt the most natural. And they were funny.

 

Vulptexes; they had an actual important role in the Resistance escaping the assault on Crait, where well developed and are the best looking creature in the film.

 

Crystal Dogs and the Fathiers.

Also BB8 was a legend.

The milking thing should have been cut and time used for exposition of what happened before for more flashbacks.

 

Porgs > Vulptices > Fathiers > Thala-Sirens > Caretakers

the caretakers are definitely Italian. I bet they make killer meatballs. They cracked me up when they would get all bent at Rey.

 

Except Ewoks were sentient and developed a civilization

Not to be off topic, but I like your films from your sig. Love the lightsaber work and shot composition

 

This is tough. I voted the crystal foxes. But I loved the Lanai and Thala-Sirens just as much.

 

Rey...very easy on the eye.

 

I want to:

Ride a Falthier at full speed while lifting my arm up high like I'm in a 1980s kids film.

Have a Crystal Critter calmly approach my camp fire from the woods and decide to curl up and enjoy some tasty slow roasted Porg morsels that I couldn't finish.

Show my children the cute Porgs and not allude to the fact that I've eaten some before. Just like I do other animals while at farms.

 

Oh noooooo, this is a hard question.

I really related to the fathiers because they remind me of horses and specifically of my rescue horse. I felt for the abuse and expectation placed on them because I worked at the racetrack for awhile before I knew better.

The Porgs were surprisingly easy. They felt natural to the whole story and cracked me up.

But the crystal foxes! Their little jingle jangle whenever they moved was so peaceful. They’re beautiful.

 

I really loved all the creatures in TLJ, but the porgs are the cutest.

 

I quite like the porgs. I'm all in on the Jedi nuns though.

 

Before I saw the movie I would have said the crystal foxes, but I was disappointed by them. On the flip side, I actually surprisingly love the boobalicious sloth alien. It was just a meme moment, but I dug it anyway.

 

It would definitely be higher on my list if Rian didn't have Luke gratuitously milk it while it looked at Rey

 

The scene on the whole is gross and inappropriate, but maybe that’s why I like it. It sort of sums up what I feel about this movie.
