Yeah, it does. And I really hate it. The second and third books of Aftermath were pretty good, but Wendig should never be allowed to write any canon SW again if his attitude to previous canon stories is to simply ignore them if they don't fit with the story he wants to tell.

Not to sound like a angry fan boy but I think Wendig could be considered the literature version of Rian Johnson, a creator who has lots of support and faith from Lucasfilm, but the fandom.....

Also really likes both of them, if you're looking at the right people, cuz "the fandom" is not a monolith.

So, like Lucas from about 1999 onwards, then? At least to a certain set of people; there's not one single opinion of this stuff across the whole fandom.

    I'm guessing
"Shaa" and Momin are both pre-Bane era Sith?

Definitely, since Momin is a known historical figure (Presuming the Banian Sith remained in secret until Sidious)

Let's not involve George in this ;) The Maker is the maker and he can do whatever he wants. I'm totally fine with Chuck Wendig overwriting or contradicting any stories in his own fictional universe.

And that Vader preview looks great!

Shaa I wonder if they named her that for a reason like recanonlizing some legends stuff with the infant of shaa or just cause they want us questioning

Considering she's not a busty topless walrus person, I doubt there's any connection.

I wouldn't be surprised if this next issue is nothing but Monim's backstory. To which I have no problem with!

So this isn't a Sith Ghost, right?

The helmet having some kind of "AI" based upon a dead sith via the dark side.

Similar to that Holocron in Rebels.

Good way for RoT sith to "talk" to Sith of the Old Republic era without it being the real deal.

Do we know definitely that Momin is not RoT?

Save for the ToR Sith Empire symbol implying it?

If Momin was a Banite Sith, then he did a terrible job at the whole keeping it a secret thing, considering he was well known as a famous Sith sculptor.

The way I see it, these are distinct phenomenon connected to the Light and Dark Side respectively. The Light Side is about connecting with the Force in a selfless way, about letting the Force guide you and responding to it. The Dark Side is about imposing your self upon the Force, making it your instrument. A Jedi serves the Force, a Sith dominates it.

Force Ghosts, like Obi-Wan, Yoda, etc., are the ability to manifest your consciousness after having fully joined with the Force; you are so much in-tune with the (Cosmic) Force that you become a pure manifestation of it.
Dark Siders on the other hand can twist and distort the Force in a place or around an object so much that leaves behind an impression of them, a kind of footprint or echo within the Force. This is what I think Momin's helmet is. Other examples are the dark side artifacts of the Acolytes of the Beyond in Aftermath, the Enchantress' book in The Mighty Chewbacca in the Forest of Fear, or even entire areas, such as the Sith Specter's on Moraband. They are kind of the Force version of the Rur Crystal in the Aphra comic

How are you guys pronouncing Momin in your heads when you read it?
    a) Moe-min
    b) Mom-in

I've been doing A, but thought maybe it could be B.

And the double AA in Shaa. Is that
    a) Shay
    b) Shaw

    First one, A.

Second one, Shaah. Rhymes with "bra" but you hold it for a little longer. (although, depending on your accent, Shaw could rhyme with bra, I suppose. I have a bit of an Italian-American/NYC accent so I really pronounce the "aw" in things, like "cawfee").

I'd go with ˈmoʊmɪn for momin, and ʃɑː for Shaa
