    Yup. Bit the bullet. Pre-ordered the deluxe version. Not the exclusive...I don't need to pay extra for a mini hologram. Payments don't start until 2023. Figure comes out in 2024 lol

    Awesome!



    I was somewhat concerned before this show began that Darth Vader would overshadow Obi-Wan in the story. While that did not happen, I was very pleased with what we got.

    I love how Vader shows up in The final episode. That we see Anakin is truly gone.

    I just love how Vader says, “Anakin is gone.” It feels the most like an Anakin line. Obviously because Hayden Christensen is saying it but it just really helps meld the two characters together even more. The whole scene is just brilliant!

    Yes, that line (with the "I am what remains" with JEJ blended in there) really cements Hayden-Anakin as the same character as Vader in the OT for me. Not that I haven't bought it before as such, but it's been a bit difficult to picture Hayden in the suit up until now.

    And yes, the entire scene is brilliant. It's become one of my absolute favorite scenes in the Saga.

    Exactly. The series as a whole really helps with the transition from Anakin to Vader. Makes it completely seamless. In this Vader is far more desperate to prove himself by killing Kenobi. He’s reckless and blind to the bigger picture because of his obsession. Very much like Anakin was. But after a thorough beat-down by Obi-Wan and a scolding by his master Vader becomes far more focused. He finally learns the lesson that Obi-Wan was trying to teach him in that training session. He becomes the patient, cold and calculating ******* we know from the OT knowing that eventually Obi-Wan will come to him.

    Mmmm….not sure I agree with the “calculating” attribute. I think yes, he begins to transition into the full cold-blooded, unmerciful, ruthless and surgical executor.

    Do not believe he is waiting for Obi Wan in the OT either…..I think he just was shown his place by the Emperor and refocused his passion and resolve to completely eliminate anything that opposes the ideas and rule of the Empire.

    Agree that the scene was brilliantly scripted and executed.

    Taking into account that last scene between Vader and Obi-Wan in the series, where do you think are the moments Vader is smirking under the mask in the OT?
