well i was messing around on my computer lately and I wanted to try and make him real

I really need some assistance here, if theres any altercations that need to be made tell me! I'm haveing a really hard time with this!

Ooo! Ooo! Manips with my fav of your OCs! I really like Hobi!

I'm liking what you've got going so far, ArsnL--the adaption of the face to digital looks pretty good. Nice hair, good capture of his features on the new canvas (Lord, I don't think I could ever in my life duplicate one of my OCs, lol!). I'm leaning toward the green skin tone (don't know why--I just imagined it when I first saw the original drawing!)--I think it suits him. I'd like to see you darken up his brows just a bit more in the digital--not heavier, just a bit darker shade than the hair (most brows are a bit darker than the hair), so they show up a bit more (really like that feature on the original face--sort of indicates strength to me). You'll be adding in his "facial ridging" later, right? It's one of the things that makes him very unique and original, and I think you should keep that for sure. You might try to highlight and shadow just a bit more, too--intensify the light on his face a bit, and add some tiny "catch-lights" to his eyes--it would help him "pop" more.


I'm really looking forward to seeing how this turns out! Maybe you could do a series of pieces with this character--sort of bring him to life for us here!

Thanks for the excellent feedback FF! At the moment, this is just a color test for hobi- he needs some serious detailing, and of course his scars will be added later- his eyes are just giving me so much trouble! I can't get them quite right...

but I was leaning towards green too, it seperates him from looking like chiss or something.

On the skin tones, I kind of think the red is the most striking. It's not uncommon to see blue or green skin in Star Wars, but red is pretty uncommon (I actually can't think of anyone with red skin).

 

HEy- I'm back! And thank you wick for the input- i might just end up giving hobi some purple skin! - i doubt theres any SW character with purple skin- but don't worry it won't bright, more or less a deep red/ purple. Thanks again for stopping by!
