    Dawn of the Wardens

The year is 151 ABY, and the Jedi are scattered across the stars. After intense dissention among the leadership, the High Council disbanded, causing factions within the Guardians of Light. Soon after, some of the Jedi walked away from the Light, never to be seen again, while others fell to the dark side, succumbing to the power vacuum. Seemingly leaderless, one group of Jedi dedicated to the Light, leave the collapsed Jedi Temple, and set out into the galaxy. Devoted to one another and dedicated to living out the Jedi code, this small band of Jedi become a force for good in the galaxy. Local systems within the region begin to call them: The Wardens of Light. Using what skills they have, these Jedi must build a better life for those who the Force guides them to help, in whatever way they can. Driven by a newfound sense of vigor, Wardens of Light will battle Darksiders in the shadowy corners of the galaxy. They will uncover malicious schemes and using their cunning, will foil the plans of the enemy. They will explore ancient battlegrounds, uncover lost sites rich in Jedi history, and re-discover what it means to be Jedi.

    The Argo
, comparable to the Corellian Colonizer ships, is the base of operations for the Wardens. Mission briefings, deployments, reconnaissance, flight training, meditation, sparring, all can be done from the ship. Albeit tight quarters, the Wardens make do with what they have.

    :greensaber::bluesaber::greensaber::bluesaber::greensaber::bluesaber::greensaber::bluesaber::greensaber:

Welcome friends to our new game. Set roughly 15 years after the last GoL installment, we will progress through the Legacy era of what was once called the Expanded Universe. This is an open ended game that will run as long as we can keep it up. New ideas and characters are welcome. There will be plot points revealed in game at certain points, but overall the players will be able to decide which mission or priority is current. Characters can regroup and reset at the ship in between missions.

    :bluesaber::greensaber::bluesaber:

    The Rules.

    1) Please follow the RPF Rules and be mindful of the Terms of Service and Rules of the Jedi Council Forums.

    2) No God-modding or auto-hitting.

    3) Game Master's word is law.

    4) All character sheets must be sent via PM to one of the GMs ( The Vanguard or @Adalia-Durron ) for approval. This includes players who wish to reprise their characters from a previous game.

    5) This game is the official RPG of the EUC's Jedi fanclub, the Guardians of Light. However, membership in that fanclub is not a prerequisite for playing. Still players should be aware that Out-of-Game and/or Out-of-Character discussions and questions regarding the game may be discussed there. A separate Wardens of Light Resource thread will be set up in the Role Playing Resource Forum to act as our library thread.

    6) Posting expectations: Barring unforeseen circumstances all tags should be replied to within a week (7 days). Major U.S. Holidays I will most likely be away, so those weeks will skip over. I plan on GM updates for the game on a weekly basis. Real life always takes precedence over online happy-online-fun-pretendy time though, so if something comes up and you're able, let the GM and other players know that you'll be absent (I know sometimes even that isn't possible though). If you miss any tags, I will continue to tag you and your character for the duration of your character's current assignment, afterwards your character will be discreetly dropped from the game (though they can return at a later date).

    7) All major storylines (a storyline that affects the game as a whole) must have prior approval by the GM via PM. If you have an idea, please PM it to me and we'll work together to flesh it out and get it into the game. I enjoy getting news ideas to add to the fabric we're weaving, so if you have them, send them.

    8) For the time being I am restricting Player Characters to Jedi/Members of the GoL (in game, not the EUC fanclub :p, this game is open to everyone), their associated security and logistics divisions or characters that will soon be joining any of those organizations.

    9) Have fun, and may the force be with you.

    Character Traits:
Personality: curious, suspicious of people who try to befriend her (due to her being a former slave of Corellia)
Habits/Mannerisms: can't control her "divine" powers as she likes to refer to the Force
    Likes: helping people
Dislikes: being unpresentable, others being suspicious or curious about her, being the center of attention, getting into trouble
    Racial Traits: None
Strengths and Weaknesses: strong family bond, wants to find some way to free the rest of her family and find out the truth about what happened to her father
Weaknesses: doesn't like dealing with the "darker" aspects of her personality
Physical Strengths and Weaknesses: adventurous, likes to explore strange and dangerous places, can "chicken out" when she doesn't like to face an unknown danger

    Picture:

    Eye Color: Blue
Hair/Fur: Long, curly light brown hair
    Skin Color: Fair
Clothing: beige Jedi tabard, lavender tunic, large brown belt with gold buckles, dark brown pants and boots and long necklace her mother crafted for her when she was still a slave in the mines of Corellia

Personal History: Jira was captured and taken prisoner to Corellia to work in the mines when she was in her mid teens. Adventurous teen that she was (for reasons that she still doesn't quite understand), she was often caught trying to come up with crazy scenarios on how to escape and go back to her homeworld, even though her homelife wasn't that much different than it was as a prisoner on Corellia. Jira finally got her chance at freedom when one Han Solo and a wookie by the name of Chewbacca (or Chewie for short) also got themselves captured and forced to work in the same mines as Jira.

She never thought that she would seek out the life of a Jedi if one of her captors didn't do what she thought was a joke at the time and accuse her of being force sensitive. "Me? Force Sensitive?" Jira mocked, "You must be running a foul of Jedi Knights, and you think that anyone that's a little different of having these 'divine' powers, because I can tell you right now, that someone is not me. I come from a world with very little gravity, no moons, and swamps and lakes for crying out loud!" Even as she was saying this, it made Jira curious enough about the Jedi and their ways that she was often intrigued by the idea, but was unsure if she had the potential. For starters, wasn't she too old? But then again, so were both Anakin and Luke Skywalker, and though she wasn't planning on going down the same path as Anakin (didn't he turn into Darth Vader or something), but what about Luke? she often wondered.
Immediate Family: mother and siblings are still slaves in the mines of Corellia; father might be a Jedi Knight whose whereabouts are unknown
    Spouse/Children: None
Weapons: a blaster she confiscated from one of her captors before she was rescued from the mines of Corellia by one Han Solo

    Wife and son/Heir

    Biography:

Arvam grew up as the adopted son and heir of his human parents. He knew from them that his father, a Sephi, had brought him to them when he was around a year old for reasons unknown. But his parents had been barren, hadn’t been able to produce an heir. Which was something they’d desperately needed, as they were trying to build and maintain a peaceful and thriving kingdom on a world that had been steeped in darkness for eons, the former capital of the ancient Sith empire, Dromund Kaas.

As he grew up he had many tutors that taught him all that his parents thought he’d need to know to rule. History, politics, psychology, care for his people, even Force tutors when his abilities began to manifest were among the multitude of subjects. He dealt with the people of the kingdom wondering why a half breed had been picked among all the other children by the king and queen to be the heir but, over the years, he slowly won the hearts and minds of the populace.

When his parents finally passed away he ruled the land for almost a hundred years of peace, as the kingdom expanded against the darkness of the world. Creatures were tamed or their lands made into preserves that kept the beasts from harming the people. There was a hardened corps of explorers that studied and entered the ruins of the ancient Sith, cataloging and retrieving artifacts that needed to be placed away from Force users for everyone’s safety or could be used, brought into use by those on the light side of the force.

Which, eventually, led to the discovery of the necklace. When it was brought to him, he studied it for several years before he ever attempted to access it. That day finally came and he’d stood before it, raising his power. Pouring some into it he reached out, touching the artifact. A flash of light and…

When Arvam woke he found himself in a dark, locked room, locked from the outside. He was in a pair of old clothes that he hadn’t worn in years. He waited for several hours before the door unlocked. Several of his closest advisors and troops quietly entered, whispering to him that they needed to smuggle him out of the palace, that an usurper had taken the throne. They had procured an old set of armor and retrieved his swords before they helped him through the secret passages to escape the palace.

The years that followed Arvam tried to rally the populace but the Dark King began a pogram, any that supported Arvam either disappeared or were imprisoned. Slowly but surely the Dark King took over the entire kingdom, leaving fewer and fewer places for Arvam to make a base to fight the Dark King’s rule. He was down to only a couple bases when he knew he would need assistance to fight this battle. Which was when he reached out, sending a comm message to the Wardens, pleading for them to come and help him return his kingdom to the Light.

    Chapter 1: Rescue

The command center was a buzz, deck hands were busy screening and decoding encrypted transmissions from the skirmish on the planet below. Beeps and comms chatter bounced off the thick durasteel walls of the command center bridge. The captain didn't see the need to invest in sound dampening panels. It was after all, a salvaged ship from a backwater planet in the outer rim. "Put your suggestions in the suggestion box," he'd say - and motion his hand towards the garbage chute.

Commander Pala, the young XO was assessing the situation in as he stood on the bridge with the captain. With doubts weighing on his mind, he spoke up. "I don't understand, we should have heard back from him by now. Keep scanning for transmissions" he directed to Communications Officer Kana Josto.

"Of course sir," she replied as she began to delegate to her people in the command center.

The captain stood on the bridge ahead of Commander Pala, staring into the viewpoint overlooking the planet below. The planet Forrn wasn't much to look at. It had oceans, mountains, and at least one moon in orbit. Yet it wasn't the view the captain was taking in, it was the scope of their involvement on this lead. They were about to risk a major endeavor on a hunch. The captain knew to trust his gut, but he was out of options at this point. They were running out of time and he knew it.

"Update?" Captain Grenn said aloud, maintaining his gaze on the planet.

-"Nothing on the target yet sir, and the local force is still on alert." replied lieutenant Josto.

"What's the ETA on shuttle departure?" the captain barked back.

    -"15 minutes sir," she replied.

Grenn shook his head in disapproval, "That's too long."

-Commander Pala interjected quietly as he approached the captain, "I can take a team down there and get-"

"..and get what? More people killed?" The Captain's gaze broke as he spun around like a top. Squaring his stance to face his XO directly, his eyes narrowed with a coldness that Pala recognized.

-"This is different Captain, I can feel it," Pala protested.

"Stow your feelings, I don't have the luxury of planning a rescue on your acid indigestion." Grenn's voice sound tired, like he had lived a week within a day. "Send word to the Jedi, they need to take off now."

Commander Pala exited the bridge and as he left, could only be seen muttering something to himself. As he stepped off towards the turbolifts he called back to the Captain, "yes sir. "

    Meanwhile in the hangar..

"Cab, Daryn, secure shuttle A-2 and tell the pilot to prepare for launch." Oberon dished his orders to the Argonauts with efficiency.

-"But what about the Jedi? Aren't they coming?" Daryn protested.

"Once again D, you only have half the information correct. Four Jedi will be joining you, the others are flying escort."

-"I was just testing you Oby, I already got the mission briefing."

"Sure, and I can't swim." replied the Mon Cal.

After giving his teams a once over, the NCO waited for the Jedi to arrive for assignments.

    36 hours earlier

Forrn's seasons saw many cold nights and it was fall season, when the sun set - temperatures dropped below comfortable. As long as anyone was sheltered from the gusting winds of the Crozian Plains, one could survive the night.

"Tell Mack it's for real this time, no decoys. This time, we got him," a middle aged human in tattered clothing with shoddy armor spoke into his comlink.

"Throw the prisoner into the south cell, and this one must keep his limbs in tact." The guards chuckled aloud as they threw the prisoner into the cell, sealing the door between them.

Tay finished talking to his father before heading to the hanger. As he walked his Yellow sabers bounced at his sides. He was literally the only member of his Species on the argo and in the wardens of light itself and that made him uncomfortable at times but he had gotten a lot better with that fact as he knew the other Neirs in his clan were safe under his brother's leadership. Afterall Clan Tolia was an alliance with the other Neir clans. Tay was glad to see that his loth at was still with him. It had now taken to resting its head on his shoulder but gripped to the back of his Jedi tunic.
"Good boy, Hil" Tay said scratching the loth cat between the ears. The loth at responded by rubbing its head against Tay's cheek. Tay laughed as he entered the hanger. He was the first Jedi to arrive from what he could see. He aprroched the vessel and saw the crew that he would either be joining or escorting, Tay hadn't been told which yet but he was sure he would soon find out.
"Hey" Tay said towards the crew before pulling up a nearby crate with the force and resting Hil on it before leaning against it himself. The name 'Hil' was translated from his native language Inani and it meant 'Freind'. Tay had chosen the name himslef when he was younger and the two had formed a close bond. Tay then proceeded to scratch Hil between the ears as he waited for the rest of the jedi to arrive.

    IC: Arvam Fall
    Forrn, a cell

The cell door shut behind Arvam, the sound of it locking was not a surprise to the half Sephi. His long ears drooped, it wasn’t the first time that he’d been captured but every time before he’d had more of a series of cells of those who supported him to be able to get free of his captors. Time and struggle had whittled those resources down. Which was why, just before he’d been captured, he managed to get a comm message off, hoping that those who he had sent the message to had received it.

He sighed, settling on the plank bunk that was the bed of the meager cell. There wasn’t even a window, being an interior cell, so it was four stone walls, a similar floor and ceiling, and a door that he was certain he would have a difficult time getting the lock undone. Which meant, he rotated to a lotus position, the battered armor and worn down clothes making very little sound as he crossed his legs.

Closing his eyes, he thought back, going over in his mind the last few years. Life on this world had been peaceful, as peaceful as it could be with the Force. His people had been prospering, exploring the world further, opening new lands so that the kingdom could expand. The exploratory parties would bring back anything of value including relics and artifacts of the previous inhabitants.

Which was what had caused the current situation, when a certain artifact had been recovered and brought to him. He’d studied it for long months, trying to learn its history, what it meant, what it could do. Until he finally believed that he understood it enough to attempt to use it. When he’d raised his power, condensing some in his hand, he’d reached out and touched the otherwise unassuming necklace.

The moments that passed after that touch he would never remember, in his entire long lifespan that his kind had. The next thing he remembered was some of his loyal nobles breaking into a cell like the one he found himself in now. They’d gotten his armor and clothes, the same items he wore now, as well as his rune swords. He’d been secreted out of the palace, where he’d been held, and rushed away from the capital.

In the last few years, Arvam moved from one location on the planet to another, rallying the people against the dark king who expanded his power from the capital outward. On occasion they rallied and kept the King’s forces from making gains, but often what they accomplished was to fight holding actions and slowly allow those who were not dark to fade into the deeper countryside, to the areas that had not yet been explored. But those areas were becoming fewer and fewer.

However, it was almost over, at least for those who were not in thrall to the dark king. He’d been moving between redoubts when the small convoy he was in had been attacked. The initial attack seemed only to be that of a usual attempt to stop the forces for good. But, once their foes had found out he was there…Arvam shook his head, sadly. He was the only survivor of the attack. And only because he knew these local forces were only waiting for the dark king’s forces to retrieve him.

But two could play the waiting game. All he needed was to wait for the Warden’s to arrive, to assist, and to get him out of this prison to rally his forces.

    The Argo

It seemed that Jira Elnath was the only Jedi Padawan aboard The Argo that didn't have a lightsaber yet. "Probably because I chickened out when I had to travel to Illum to create one." the former Deyer adventurer thought to herself. Though she didn't have a lightsaber, she somehow managed to hold onto the blaster she confiscated from one of her captors in the mines of Corellia. "How else was I going to get off that frozen planet?!" Jira thought to herself as she was beginning to beat herself up for being such a coward. Trying to put the past behind her, the Jedi Padawan tried to focus on the mission she was currently participating in.

Not knowing much about the mission (other than it being some sort of rescue mission), Jira tried to convince herself that she would try not to run away like she did on Illum (lucky for her, she managed to stow away on the next transport that arrived there without being discovered) if she were somehow tested on this mission as well. "If I keep doing that, what kind of Jedi will I become?" she thought to herself. One, it would mean that the slave driver that called her "... a pathetic excuse for a slave!" would have been right on the money, and Jira was not about to let those that doubted her get the upper hand, so to speak.

Walking around The Argo, it wasn't long before she came across another Jedi Padawan by the name of Tay Neir. "Fancy meeting you here, though I don't think we've been properly acquainted. I believe you're another of Mira Grau's Padawans?" Jira asked, hoping she wasn't intruding too much. Jira tried to be friendly to people she didn't know that well, but it was hard sometimes, especially being a former slave of Corellia...

Anakin almost fell but managed to balance himslef as he deactivated his Lightsaber. He was just about to head to his quarters when he had the message telling him to head to the hanger. He clipped his saber to his uniform and headed there. He himslef knew that the mission was going to be some sort of rescue mission but he didn't know the rest if the details. As he entered the hanger he saw a young Jedi padawan resting against a crate scratching a loth cat between the ears and another Padawan that had Long, curly light brown hair. He didn't know either of them which was surprising considering as they were all wardens. Anakin approached the two and stood in silence next to the browned haired Padawan.

    Chapter 1: Rescue
    Hangar Bay, Argo

"And may the Force be with you," Ress dismissed the huddle of Jedi Masters before they descended the turbolift to the hangar bay. The Nauttolan received Commander Pala's message to disembark and begin the mission, but it seemed there was more than he was letting on. Masters Adalia, Kasumi, and Ress knew what the mission was, and what it would take to succeed. After their briefing, the Masters decided who would take the shuttle planetside and who would lead air support. Master Kasumi would take her padawan learner Jira, and fly support in ships of their choosing, alongside Tippy and Faze. Together they made Artemis flight and would ensure nothing on the planets skies would pose a threat to their mission.

"Your ships are fueled and spaceworthy." reported chief Saris as she approached Master Kasumi. The Jedi Master acknowledged the directive as she motioned for her padawan, who was in talks with the others.

"We have 2 training lightsabers, if you'd prefer to carry one." Oberon spoke up to the padawan learner Jira. He seemed to be interrupting in a polite way, "from what I've been told, training sabers are not like the real thing. As it's been said, it's like a glove that's one size too big, or too small." He paused before continuing, "but I suppose it's better than nothing? Check in with me before you takeoff if you'd like one," he said, turning towards the armory.

Chief Saris finished her pre-flight shpeal to the Jedi flying escort, "The droids assigned to you are being loaded up as we speak. Captain's Grenn's orders are for you to escort shuttle A-2 to the strike point. Report to your wings ASAP."

Almost in perfect timing, a Mirialan Jedi wandered into the hangar but didn't seem lost. Almost as if he knew what buttons would set off the chief. Chief Saris approached him, "you there, Jedi. Time's a wastin! Can you fly one of these bucket of bolts too or are you just wasting my time?!"

Trailed by Master Tehanis, Master Dahar wrapped his outer cloak around him as he stepped into the hangar. He didn't pretend not to like the cold. The Jedi made a bee-line for the shuttle, knowing it was their method of travel toward the next destination. The Nautolan Jedi Master walked with a cool collective that almost seemed like he didn't care what was happening, to the untrained eye. "Starwalker, it's time to board. Make sure you have what you need," he spoke to his padawan who had been chatting with the other young Jedi who appeared to have a small mammal on their shoulder. Master Tehanis also met with her padawan, as they prepped to board the shuttle, she realized they were missing one.

"Liftoff in 5!" chief Lan Saris announced over the hangar PA. "Pilots to their stations, shuttle crew to station!"

The Mercenary commander didn't have the luxury of a fully staffed death squad, but he knew the men and women loyal to him would give their all, even to the point of death. "All patrols, keep a sharp eye out. This prisoner is like a steaming pile of ****ake mushrooms, and the flies will come running to it. Be ready," The guard closest to the cell holding the very important prisoner took a look at the occupant and scoffed. Boredom set in on a backwater planet faster than any weed could grow or sandstorm could cover. "Let's bring him out, see what he's made of," one guard said to another.

"Do that, and you'll have more to bargain with than a half broken Sephi." the mercenary leader broke into the guards conversation.

"Of course Lem, we were just foolin about."

    "I wasn't." Lem replied.

The guards stood stone still, lips sealed.

"Next one to talk about cutting up the prisoner will be on tonight's dinner plate." The band of mercs within earshot let out a whalloping war cry.

Anakin watched as the masters approched them. They all seemed to know exactly what they were doing unlike their padawans but then again jedi masters tended to. Master Dahar spoke to Anakin directly, which wasn't surprising considering as Anakin was his padawan.
"Starwalker, it's time to board. Make sure you have what you need,"
Anakin made sure he had everything he needed. Some tools check, comlink check and most importantly, Lightsaber check
"All ready to go Master, do we really have to be so formal though?" Anakin replied

When Jira Elnath heard that they had some training lightsabers, she told those in charge that she would like one. "Yes, I would like one of those training lightsabers, please." For the second time since rejoining the Jedi Order, she was beginning to get fearful and doubt herself. "No, I can't do that, since doesn't fear lead to the Dark Side?" the young padawan reminded herself. She was glad to be part of something again, since while she was searching for answers of what happened to her father back on Deyer, her mind also wandered to her mother and siblings who were still slaves in the mines of Corellia.

"Are my former captors making their lives more miserable than before I was rescued?" the former adventurer wondered, trying her hardest to bury her doubts and focus on the mission at hand. Since she "chickened out" on Illum when she was tasked on collecting the crystal she needed to make her own lightsaber, she wondered if she could learn to wield it correctly without looking like she was having some sort of temper tantrum if someone were to test her yet again. "I have to learn to control my emotions..." Jira reminded herself, wondering how hard it would be to rescue her fellow Jedi that may have gone rogue. "I hope that's not what happened to my father..." she thought to herself, shaking the thought off as soon as it entered her doubtful mind.

    Crozian Plains, Forrn, a cell

The meditation that Arvam had engaged in was interrupted for a moment as he heard the guards outside the cell spoke. One long ear twisted, listening as they debated, the corner of his lip quivering. The guards seemed to want to have a little fun but their commander quickly shut them down, causing him to realize the Dark King had specific instructions regarding his state.

Which made him wonder how long it would be before the Dark King’s main forces arrived to retrieve him. Everything seemed to be a game of numbers at the moment, a pair of countdowns; at least so he hoped. If his message had gotten out, had reached its destination, then the warring countdowns were between how long it would be before the Dark King’s people arrived and how long it would be before the Wardens arrived. Of course the Wardens would have to get through these troops to reach him, in that case, so there was still a fine line.

    Time…time..time…

He needed something to do to pass the time, he couldn’t simply meditate, the guards themselves were interrupting that, as was his concern for those who supported him, what was left of them.

Uncrossing his legs, setting his feet on the floor, he stood. Pacing over to the door, he stopped far enough back so that, should it open, it would not hit him. ”I would like some paper and a writing implement, as I suspect I will be here for some time, and can pass it writing my history.” he spoke, loud enough for the guards to hear, infusing his words with a touch of the Force to, hopefully, assist in convincing them to do so.

    Character's Name: Wes Nariaru
    Species: Mirialan
    Gender: Male
Rank/Affiliation: Jedi Padawan in the Guardians of Light
Languages: Basic, Mirialan, Twi’lek, Rodian, Droidspeak
    Residence: The Argo
    Home Planet: Mirial
    Age: 25
    Approved Special Features: N/A

    Character Traits:
    Personality:
Wes is calculated and deliberate in nearly all of his choices and interactions with others, believing, like many Mirialan, that an individual’s actions alter their ultimate destiny. Despite this, he can be unintentionally headstrong in the heat of battle or in emotionally charged situations, which can lead to hasty decision-making both on and off the battlefield. Though he generally has an open and friendly demeanor, Wes is cautious when forming deeper connections and attachments with others, not wanting his fate fortuitously intertwined with untrustworthy individuals. Wes has a keen interest in nature, weaned on a primitive understanding of the Force on his homeworld of Mirial. He strives to stay in tune with the rhythms of the natural world and the Force.
Habits/Mannerisms: Wes is not shy by any means; however, he can come across as withdrawn or distant when forming personal connections deeper than surface level. Being interested in understanding the ebbs and flows of the natural world, he is always seeking out lush locations teeming with life to meditate or rest. Wes shows great respect for those more powerful in the Force than he is, learning from an early age to listen to and respect the Force.
Likes: Animals, plants, nature in general; helping those in need; discussing and reading about the mysteries of the universe, being an innate explorer; playing music
Dislikes: The destruction of nature; extended space travel; being scolded
Racial Traits: Wes has olive-colored skin and eyes like amethysts. He has black, geometric facial tattoos carefully embossed across the bridge of his nose and vertically on the center of his chin. His tattoos stand for “Balance" in Mirialan.

    Strengths and Weaknesses:
    Strengths:
Wes’s main strength is in his ability to understand and find common ground between himself and those of other species. He is affable and open when meeting new people or diving into new experiences, with an abiding curiosity about the galaxy and the creatures living within it.
Weaknesses: Due to his aversion towards developing deep connections with others, Wes can reflexively retreat from friendships or relationships and become standoffish.
Physical Strengths and Weaknesses: Like many members of his race, Wes is extremely nimble with quick reflexes, often granting him the upper hand when it comes to lightsaber combat. He is generally flexible and acrobatic, which he lends to his habit of scaling tall trees and cliffs. However, Wes is not of imposing physical strength or stature, much to his detriment against studier foes.

    Looks:
    Appearance:
Wes has amethyst-colored eyes that are striking against his olive-green skin. His face is framed by thin black locks, the majority of which are bundled together into a ponytail on his crown with the rest cascading down to the bottom of his neck. Though he often wears his long, straight hair pulled up to keep it out of his eyes, he will occasionally let it fall naturally to just above his shoulders.

    Eye Color: Purple
Hair/Fur: Thin, black hair that reaches the bottom of his neck
    Skin Color: Green
Clothing: In apparel, Wes prioritizes comfort for exploration over style. He wears a cream-colored sleeveless tunic under a brown hooded poncho, allowing him to easily remove layers depending on the climate. He wears gray military fatigues for their versatility and a pair of brown leather boots, which are helpful for traveling over rough terrain.

    Personal History:
    Immediate Family:
Wes has a mother living on Mirial.
    Spouse/Children: N/A
    Biography:
Wes was raised on an isolated commune of Light Side followers on Mirial, many of whom believed that growing darkness in the galaxy impeded their path to spiritual enlightenment. Because of this, Wes’s commune often took in refugees from conflicts throughout the Outer Rim. These refugees were of various species and hailed from many different planets, which sparked Wes’s curiosity in the diverse flora and fauna of the galaxy and allowed him to grow accustomed to many different languages. Young Wes would often sit and listen to the refugees’ adventure stories by firelight during the cold Mirialan nights.

Wes was raised by a single mother. Because of the isolation of their commune and the dry, desert habitat of Mirial being inhospitable to many predators, his mother encouraged his exploration, hoping it would enhance her son’s connection to the natural world and, thus, the Light Side of the Force. From the moment he could confidently pilot a starship, Wes was leaving the safe confines of his homeworld to explore his neighborhood of the Outer Rim.

By the will of the Force, the Mirialan commune, a haven for Light Side followers, was eventually visited by the Wardens of Light. Wes, now a young adult, insisted on joining them in their travels, seeing it as an opportunity to not only see the greater expanse of the galaxy, but also to deepen his understanding of the Force.

    IC: Wes Nariaru

    Hangar Bay, Argo

Wes Nariaru had no disfavor for space travel. Yet, something about the expansive emptiness and lack of lifeforms always made him restless as he was hurtled through the stars on board The Argo.

To occupy his time during transit, Wes would often research the local flora and fauna of the system he was heading toward, anticipating any downtime in which he could escape the regimented agenda of Captain Gren to explore a new planet’s surface in between missions. When turning pages became boring, he would play a hand of Pazaak, a favorite on the commune he called home on Mirial, or meditate to train his ability to communicate via the Force; it was Wes’s private hope that a space-faring critter might intercept his “Hello!” sailing through the cosmos.

However, a change of pace was in store. Wes was nearly positive a Loth-cat had stowed away on board The Argo. (The Force had indicated that the feline was nearby, and Wes, like many Mirialan, always heeded its call.) He had never personally seen a member of the species during his travels in the Outer Rim, though he had read about its tact in stalking its prey. He hoped to hunt down the stowaway in much the same fashion so that he could investigate it up close.

Wes left his quarters and steadily walked towards the hangar, tracking the small beast using fluctuating signals from the Force. Suddenly, his trail went cold. Did the Loth-cat disappear into thin air? Wes deliberated.

He continued onward into the hangar. As the hangar’s hydraulic entrance hissed open before him, Wes was amused to find the Loth-cat he was searching for clinging to the shoulder of a black-haired Padawan who was among a bustling group on a nearby shuttle. A delighted smile suffused Wes’s face as he chuckled at his oversight. But there must have been some reason he was heralded on this wild-pelikki chase…

“You there, Jedi. Time's a wastin! Can you fly one of these bucket of bolts too or are you just wasting my time?!”

Wes turned to meet the sensible face of Chief Saris. “Yes, sir, I can fly it,” he replied calmly, but with an audible tone of respect for his superior.

He thought back to his many exploration voyages throughout the Outer Rim as a teen. If he could pilot a starfighter, he could certainly navigate a shuttle.

    “What are my orders, sir?”

Wes was taken aback by this sudden call of duty, but recalled his training to be prepared for combat at moment’s notice.

At the Padawan's question, Adalia glanced at him, "in all honesty, I'm not entirely sure, but I feel our presence is needed." Continuing to walk toward the shuttle, her hands buried deep in the full sleeves of her Jedi Robe. "Tell me Tay, what do you feel?"

"I feel pain like no pain felt before, it's like a whole planet is crying out and the feeling of losing a great battle. I'll agree that our presence is needed. Hopefully some answers find us soon." Replied Tay as he walked alongside Master Tehanis. Hil then meowed into Tay's ear. "Not right now Hil" Responded Tay glancing at his shoulder to see the lothcat's face.

"May I ask you a Question, Master?"

His skills were on point and quietly she smiled, a thin sense of pride in the smile. An emotion not normally associated with Jedi, Adalia never quite played by the rules. "Answers will be found, its the questions we need to form. Ask yours."

"What do you feel, if you don't mind me asking" Tay asked looking up at the Jedi master.

"Hmmm," A thoughtful musing sound came out as she pursed her lips. "I sense suffering and someone, somewhere is important to all this, but the feeling is vague and sensing such things is not my strength." She explained, "I do prefer other uses of the Force." They continued walking toward the shuttle.

He took in what she said. "I understand. What could it all mean?" He asked crossed his arms ahead of him as he walked.

Adalia stopped at the ramp to the shuttle, "if I knew, I would share. Sadly I'm not privy to that, visions aren't telling me much." She turned to him, "be in the here and now Tay, worrying about what is to come stops you from focusing on the here and now. We face whatever is put before us, and we do it with calm and composure, do you understand?"

"I do. My father said the same thing once" Tay replied. It seemed that no matter where he went there was always that wise being. He smiled at her before he had to deal with Hil. Hil had ran off with one of his Neir crystals again. "Drop it Hil" he said calmly. The loth cat just twitched it's ear at him before running further into the hanger. Tay shook his head as he face palmed before he turned back to Master Tehanis, "I apologize about Hil."

Adalia chuckled, "Hil is a free spirit, unburdened by the realities you and I and those around us live. It's a quality to be admired." She looked to the shuttle, "but I do think time is growing short and we should board."

"I agree" He replied before boarding the shuttle.

She followed, the boy was bright and had a curious mind, a good and a bad thing, depending on the situation.

When Bivi was old enough, she discovered her force sensitivity when she inadvertently helped avert a wild beast from attacking her by quieting it through a mind connection. Her affinity to the force and to living things was apparent to her parents before that, and they were convinced their daughter was meant for something more than farming. It took them several months to reach someone but once they did, a Jedi came for her and brought her to the temple for training. Since then she trained under the tutelage of one of the former Guardian's of Light until she passed her trials and became a knight herself. Less interested in the politics of worlds, she became more interested in sentients and life overall. This caused her to travel some before returning back to her roots, only to find them removed and relocated. "Bivi" tracked down the Argo and volunteered herself to be one of the leading members on the ship. Taking care of some of the plantlife, she singlehanded revived an entire green house in the room adjacent to the hyperdrive room.

    Flashback
    IC: Ress Da'har, Anakin Starwalker

Things were quiet as the pair of Jedi waited for their trap to spring. Patience was key, but always had a sense of dullness that if not careful, would rust the sharpest mind in minutes. Expect the unexpected. That's what Master Da'har had been trained on by his former master. At first he just thought it meant to second guess everything, always be aware of an unseen angle, but over time the meaning for him changed. To expect the unexpected meant to expect for the plans you make to change, regardless of outcomes. In other words, to let go and embrace the ever flowing tides. The Force was something a Jedi learned to embrace from the early beginnings of being an initiate. When one could feel the force, you could feel the current of life, swaying and swirling about like a gentle breeze or a calm wind. As Master Da'har peered across the busy courtyard in the Basmati district, he reached out with the force to find the target, like reaching for a grain of sand on a beach. After a few minutes of probing, he turned to his pupil and observed, "it's as if our objective knows we're looking for him. I'm not sensing we are on the right track."

Anakin was growing impatient. There was sweat dripping from behind his hair and he was bored. His lightsaber hung at his side as he slung himself down from his perch to sit beside his master. Anakin really wasn't enjoying himself but he knew better than to say this aloud. His father had taught him that. It was the sudden sound of the jedi master's voice that scared him.

"Makes two of us." Replied Anakin rolling his eyes before Master Da'har spoke.

The Nautolan took a sip of tea leaf brew and placed it back down on the stone retaining wall they were sitting on.

"Stay loose, I'm going to have a look around."

    "Yes Master" Anakin said unenthusiaticaly.

    End Flashback

    Aboard The Argo
Anakin made sure he had everything he needed. Some tools check, comlink check and most importantly, Lightsaber check
"All ready to go Master, do we really have to be so formal though?" Anakin replied

Da'har chuckled, "what's the matter, don't like hearing your own name?"

Master Ress signaled to the nearby Jedi they would be boarding the ship within the next few moments. "Anakin, formal or not - have I ever steered you wrong?"

Anakin smiled at his master's response. "No Master you haven't." Anakin replied cheerfully

    "Yet" He added quickly afterwards.

Announcement: Sadly @The Vanguard has been taken by DRL, and cannot continue to run this game. :( If anyone is interested in taking it over, please PM me and we can talk. If not, sadly our game will come to an end.

Hey all! I am more than willing to keep the game going with @Adalia-Durron's help. However, that means it will be paused until October. I am not sure where @The Vanguard was originally planning on taking the game, but am open to suggestions. If we want to keep it rolling before October, let me know and I can see what I can do....it may just be intermittent posts for a while. If anyone else want's to help as well, I am open. PM me and we can talk.

L_B edit: Let’s keep OOC discussions in the game resource thread here. Thank you!
