Challenge Dear Diary Challenge 2008 And the Winner is....?

I'll be updating more during NaNo than I did before. It's not got anything to do with NaNo, my current goings on in my fic require it. It doesn't take long to write each entry and I'm ahead with NaNo so it's not going to be an issue.

 

I rushed to update my diaries before nano started, then forgot to PM the diary sock They are updated though, so they should be green instead of orange. *goes to PM diary sock before going to work on the nano story*

 

The diary sock will be pretty unreliable this month I'm afraid.
Anyway you agreed to take it from the 17th to the 23rd.

 

I forgot about that! LOL You'll have to remind me again just before it, 'cause I'll still forget by then.

 

Oh rats I'm too late for the competition?

I thought I had 7 days and it was given to me on Saturday, I thought I remembered.

Oh well. I was doing NaNo and totally forgot.

 

Sorry about that.
I'm doing NaNo, too, so my updating tends to be erratic. I was probably a day late with telling you.

At least, I can pride myself of being on time in NaNo and still having updated my diary. Yay! I can actually watch the process eating my brain!

 

So can I be undead then?

If not that's okay, I'm just more annoyed with myself than anything about procrastinating too long.

And was dealing with a bit of writer's block too.

 

The index has been updated.

Note: This is A_W. I'll let MsLanna make that decisions since this is still her baby for now... I just step in to update the index while she's on vacation. Don't look at me, I only work here.

 

Oh, crap! I totally forgot about the Diary!

Due to problems during my absence the Index is currently on hiatus.
Maybe I'll feel like getting thing straight maybe I don't. *shrug*

Last Mini-Challenge of the year: Slipping

 

So, it is December already. That was fast, wasn't it? Just a moment ago we made plans for a diray to keep for a year, and suddenly it's already over. The year, not necessarily the diary.

So how was the challenge for you?
Would you do it again?
What would you change?
What can be done better?

And how did your diary fare? Good, bad, as planned, or did it go on a weild trip without you?

 

It's been an interesting challenge, full of surprises. I'd probably consider doing it again, but not for another year. I don't think I'd change anything, it's a fairly open ended challenge and there's not much that can be improved on, and even then I'm not sure I could say how.

The diary has gone well, I think. I didn't realise it'd been so long since my last update though, I'll have to get onto that asap. It'd be bad to come this far and then fail so close to the end.

 

I think next year I'll prepare ahead of time for NaNo. That cut me out of the running. I wasn't intending to participate in NaNo at all but I totally got sucked into the enthusiasm level and could not resist trying it again.

 

I will certainly do it again. have plans already.
Change nothing and it is real fun to do.

my diaries did fare as planned. Some got more posts added because of my other stories and NaNoWriMo sure helped.

 

Well I posted my third-to-last post on this year's diary. I think the last post will be on Dec 31. The Diary has been a nice place to put my post-ROTJ/post-prequels ideas without boxing them into a conventional story, but I think this will be my only diary for now.

 

A word about voting the winner of this year's challenge.

You though I had all forgotten about this, right? Well I didn't.

Just like last year I will give everybody the chance to post right up to the last minute of 2008.
The voting will begin on the 1st of January and end on 14th.
Two weeks should be plenty to read around some, kick friends into doing the same, and have everybody send the sock a vote.

Eligible are all diaries that are listed in their respective eras.

Votes have to be sent to this sock and need to have 'Vote' in the subject line of the pm.

The winner will be announced as soon as I tallied the votes and wins the great and amazing prize of an extra paragraph in the index, saying he won!

 

Well, I've just posted the final entry to my diary, all that remains now is to send out the notification PM. I think I'm going to miss writing it.
