Challenge Dear Diary Challenge 2008 And the Winner is....?

That's so much more complicated than I first thought.

 

Taking the easy way out: Simply number the entries.
You can always hint at how much time passed since the last entry. I tired the 'month later', 'days later' system, but my character considered it completly useless and silly.
He numbered the last entries then.

 

I was really silly and used the date I posted on, even though different time passed in reality than in the fic

But yeah, dates = confusing and I avoid them as much as possible

 

Yay! Just over a week for this to begin!

 

Well, I will confess that I've spent some time on finding a title I like. Which is just spewing out everything I can think of in a file until something sounds good the next day. Any writing that might happen is between me and my hard drive. And Vadey, you're a writing machine!

Dates can be faked in many ways, or just avoided entirely and just say in the entries how much time has passed. Just series of increasing numbers tacked at the beginnings could do. One assumes that - EDIT: time moves forward in the GFFA.

 

I will be writing another diary next year and it's about a Jedi spy (ex)

 

I think I'm just going to finish my 1st Diary *chuckle*

While this was a fun challenge, it's not one that I think I'm going to revisit. Too many other responsibilities happening at the moment. Great fun, but time to move on for me.

I will be writing the diary of an OC created for an old fic of mine. He is Arik Skywalker - Anakin and Padme's third child.

The diary will not follow the fic - this will be something entirely new

It would have been the Diary of a Stupid Cupid. The Cupid being responisble for love in the GFFA and screwing up mightily. Like, trying to get some love into Watto's life and hitting little Anakin instead. (And the Luke Leia thing, and whatever)

I think I'm gonna write from the POV of Luke's walls. I'll call it the cliche title of "If these walls could talk."
Unless I come up with a better idea between now and the 1st!

I've decided to do a year in the life of an Imperial officer's wife, someone stuck at home with their 8-year-old daughter while her husband's fighting the Rebel scum.

I'm going to do the diary of a Tusken Jedi. I've always been interested in the Tusken Raiders so... The Tusken will be an OC. I'll have to get back to you about a title though...

This is my first attempt at a diary, much less a challenge!

Thinking of a Tusken Jedi, I thought of Tahiri's time amoung them. That would be good for someone good at writing children.

Can I do a diary of a character that I use in the RP I take a part in?

 

I would think that would be ok, Laine! As long as it is a diary of someone or something in SW.

I thought about doing one with a RP character I had... the RPG lasted over 2 years and I have a notebook full of notes about the campaign so I would have enough material, but it would have to be in Before, and I've never written there before (no pun intended! ).

*tries to stop muse from wanting to writing two of them!*

Don't worry about Before, mavjade. I ventured there some time ago, and in comparison, it's a quiet and slow place.

I quite like Before. There were lots of Jedi Academies and having a Jedi anywhere is plausible. Mine will be in Before. I want to include other OCs in it, mostly because I like those OCs and a few people might just read my other fics to find out more about them.

 

Scratch my former idea. I will be writing about a Tusken Raider that is Force-sensitive, but is not a Jedi.

Not that it really matters, I just thought I'd let everyone know...
