December Meeting

As most of you found out from reading the October meeting thread, it was decided that we would have the December meeting on Sunday December 21st here at my house. I do believe last year we had it at about 2pm, but we could change the time if anyone wants to. The reason that it needs to be on Sunday (for those who don't know), is because we have our family Christmas party the day before.

Is this alright with everyone?

 

Cindy, I already marked it on my calendar and am starting to think about snacks or other food I could bring.

 

Unfortunately, as of now my flight home for break is that Sunday, and I won't be getting into Cleveland airport until 7:55pm. That time might change, but probably not significantly enough to increase my chances of attendance for this party. Bah.

Hopefully I'll get to see many of you at the Mid-Ohio Con and several other times while I'm on break.

 

Rosie and I were think of trying to hit a Force game while she's at home on break. We must welcome our prodigal members back with gusto!

What kind of food do you want us to bring? Is this a bring your lightsaber(s) event?

 

I think that everything's a bring your lightsaber event for Cindy . I'll be there, unless that's during the time that my cruise is.

 

I've had this on my calander since the October meeting (where we 1st discussed this)! I couldn't make it last year, so I'm looking forward to this year's party.

Should Emily and I make a batch of those Clonetrooper cupcakes we made from All-Ohio? (I feel so Kamino-ish asking that)

Any movie suggestions? I've got the Indiana Jones DVD set!

 

Obviously the Holiday Special should be played. I also have FOTR and should be getting TTT (both Extended Edition) once that comes out. The Grinch with Jim Carrey is also an awesome movie around this time.

 

The Holiday Special is an abomination against mankind. If we're looking for a movie to watch, I think it should be short. Last year we never even got around to watching anything.

 

Not true. You of all people should remember that last year we corrupted everyone by showing them the better portion of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and it's outtakes.

 

I meant we didn't watch all of the movie. That's why I suggested something short.

What movie is short these days? ? And anyways, we probably could have watched all of Jay and Silent Bob.

 

i haven't gotten my work schedule yet and seeing as how i'm working the credit verification dept of a chain of jewelry stores, i'm not expecting many days of in dec. in fact, they told us not to make any plans. so there ya have it...

If we can't figure out a movie to watch, I could always borrow Debbie's NSync tapes. But no, I will not entertain you with my dancing.

If "Pink Harvest" is finished by then, and one of us has a copy, then we could possibly watch that.

 

We could always watch *NSYNC's SNL skit. The "Super size It" one. I know people who hate them and still think that they're hilarious.

 

What about the SNL skit where *N SYNC is in Episode II and they sing "Jedi Nights"?

Maybe because it's not really *N SYNC. Although Jimmy Fallon and company are hysterical doing impressions of them as Jedi.

Actually, that was a pretty good skit. And I still think it's a cheap shot that a bunch of fanboyz ruined a golden opportunity (that we'd all want for ourselves) for them to be BACKGROUND extras in AOTC. Nobody would begrudge Jon if he'd been cast in Episode III?

We could watch the entire 1st half of the Cartoon Network CLONE WARS series...I'm gonna have someone here tape both parts of the marathon (Fri)
