Well, on the final stretches of Summerset in ESO, the end of which will be a rather good stop point and allow me to get back to other games.

With the return of Cayde-6, maybe it's time to get back to this.

 

Had a crack at the new dungeon last night. Probably the best one they've done since Prophecy. Really, really impressed.

 

I've heard it's great but also hard. I'll probably wait a bit until it's easier. Prophecy I loved.

 

Mechanically it's not too bad, but there's a ton of ads that can hit really hard, especially at the final boss. I'm not looking forward to running it without Devour...

 

Sigh, I think it's time to delete Destiny 2.

Used to be that I could at least do the intro missions but that stopped with Witch Queen and continued into Lightfall and that gets to Season of the Deep's Descent....

Return to Titan? Cool, might as well try it. Quiet intro section, enemy indicator starts to flash. Cue instantly being surrounded in a previously deserted room, with multiple teleporting enemies and sweet **** all cover. What's that Bungie? "**** off and stop playing the game because you don't want casual players" - yeah, I think I got that message loud and clear.

Every single enemy seemed to have more health and attack too - it just, well, wasn't fun to play. It's near enough the same self-destructive path that Genshin Impact went all in on. Though, thinking about Forsaken is where they started really amping it badly, needed a lot of help on that one.

The older content looked to have a better balance of stuff for everyone, team or solo, with set aside hard content for hard bastards. Now it seems to be purely the latter.

 

They did increase enemy health for general activities and free roam. it's annoying.

 

A few days back, to my surprise the Witch Queen area was open to exploring so had a look around and quite a bit of casual fun. Did find a weird Lost Sector that lacked a boss.

Then the news about Bungie doing some disastrous PR broke. How bad is it for those who know it better?

 

Well, they had an annual state of the game where they basically said "yeah we know people want new crucible maps and Gambit updates. We're not going to though because it's hard". And basically nothing else of value

I think I needed a confirmation here of it being exactly that because it looked so bad!

 

The issue is really that they CAN seem to make new armor and such for microtransactions... Just not to be earned in game, too

 

So Lance is being succeeded by Keith David as Zavala. They will not replace Lance's lines but Keith will be Zavala from Lightfall on.

It's gonna be hard, but that's the perfect person to fill his shoes.

 

Yeah thats as close to Lance as they are ever gonna get.

Lay off staff, take back the shares, wait until day 30 so they only have to pay a day of staff benefits- it's bad.

Meanwhile, what is likely to be the finale of Destiny 2, The Final Shape is delayed to June 2024.

And since bad stuff comes in threes, rumour says that among the lay-offs was the main composer, Michael Salvatori.
