Did Luke ever get those power converters from Tosche station?

i was wondering, did Luke ever get them? i mean he was so intent on getting them in ANH.

 

Maybe I'm insane, but was'nt there a deleted scene with Luke and his buddies at Tosche Station...or maybe I'm picturing a part from the novelization...I could have sworn I saw it somewhere...maybe only in my mind...

 

I doubt it. After the droids got there, the Larses didn't have long to live.

 

I believe that's why he went back to Tatooine in 'Return of the Jedi.' Rescuing Han was really more of an afterthought, since he was in the neighborhood.

Seriously, I think it occurs BEFORE Luke makes that comment about the power converters. Thats when Luke sees the two ships (Tantive IV and the Star Destroyer Devastator) fighting, tells his friends, but when they look, the fightings over. Given that the droids would have still been in orbit, it was too early to get the power converters

After he says that, he's a bit too busy from then until he leaves the planet, and by then, its really a moot point because he no longer has any use.

That's pretty much it. His friends call him Wormie and laugh at his story. You can see black and white images of these scenes on BlueHarvest.com. Or is it .net?

 

Most of Luke's friends werent really that close to him, only Biggs, and as later shown in a marvel comic possibly Camie and Fixer, when he shows up again they seem to regard him as a "friend" not a kid to make fun of.

nah. luke probably just forgot about them. who needs power converters?

 

Just after the Luke & Treadwell scene were Luke supposedly saw the Tantive IV battle with his super binoculars, he goes to Toshi Station to tell his best friend, Biggs Darklighter what he just saw. The entire scene I've seen it a bunch of times, It's in the Behind the Magic CD-rom.

After the events of ANH he had better things to worry about than power converters.

They're still gathering dust on the shelves

 

BUT did he get the power converters or not. power converters are very crucial to the star wars saga.

he did but after the entire saga was over, you see what he was actually thinking during the burning of Vader was "oh, sith! the nerfing power converters!" that's why he was late for the celebration.

Yes, he did. In fact, after the award ceremony, he flew back to Tatooine and got the converters using the medal as an even trade.
