Saga Did Yoda foresee the entire saga?.

Didn't Yoda say something like "Been written yet, your future hasn't. Has, no one's. Whatever you make it, your future is. So good one, make it. You, both of"?

I think Yoda’s lessons in The Empire Strikes Back are more like a parody of a martial arts mentor than in the later films

 

I heartily agree with this.

 

No i don't think he can see future events before they ultimately unfold but being attuned to the force would naturally give him a sense of premonition in hindsight to a degree it's just not exactly measurable for us to know how much and whether it's as detailed or not.

 

Yes he probably did. But Yoda is very old, therefore it can be presumed that he has seen many futures. Picking out the one correct sequence of events out of hundreds of years worth of visions is probably expecting a bit too much.

No, he did not. If not he would have foreseen how to face the Emperor or prepare for the face off, or anticipate the end of the clone war. Yoda’s judgement was cleared clouded.

Short answer yes...I believe so, just look at my sig. Not foreseen perhaps,but understood the everything in end. Tomorrow I'll expand.

 

I think he saw certain things coming, like Anakin potentially turning, but if he knew about Order 66 or Sidious he would have took steps to prevent it. A key to Order 66 working is the surprise involved, otherwise most Jedi would have escaped. I also think he had some visions in the OT but not fully accurate ones. He was wrong about needing to kill Anakin and a few other things

 

He mentions a few times the Dark Side clouds things that are to be seen, so he did not foresee it.

 

Yes, he foresaw the entire saga, including Disney taking over. So, he chose to leave in ROTJ to avoid further embarrassments and mistreatments of the saga.
He chose wisely!
