Discouragement... how do you deal with it?

Sometimes I get so discouraged that I just want to give up and hide! And my readers are wonderful and give terrific reviews but I keep thinking - are they talking about me or some other writer? - It can't possibly be me!!!
So when writing doesn't work and I'm stuck, I try to shake off the discouragement by reading other people's stuff. Of course, that can backfire because their work is so much better than mine!
Then I go do something completely different such as watching a mindless movie or starting one of my other hobbies or planning next year's vacation. Something, anything to get me off the treadmill of foolish discontent!

However, at times, nothing works and I just ride it out... It does go away eventually...
