When thinking about it, the scene was both kinda sad, as well as rather stupid. Easy way to make people exactly that, sad, but at the same time it could also be seen as a "Look at the sacrifice the ewoks made"-sorta way.

 

Poor Corpsey.

 

I just watched ROTJ on LD the other night, and found myself giggling uncontrollably when that scene came up, because I almost forgot about it. "Holy sh*#, it's Corpsey!", and it took me a good five minutes to stop laughing. I don't think that's very nice.

 

I am completely astounded that this thread has gotten this long...Corpsey would be so very, very(sniff), proud.

 

I reckon corpsey ended up as a tasty, meaty, celebration dish at the end of ROTJ.

Wow, what a great thread! I'm truly moved.
I think we all want to see Corpsey get his due, but it will be a long hard struggle. In the meantime, though, the very least we can do is give him a decent funeral.
So let's do it. Browse this thread and pick out the post-er who should deliver the speech at Corpsey's online funeral. And start volunteering to bring flowers, provide a picture to stand in for corpsey, etc.
If no one helps me, I'll do it myself! Come on, guys! If Anakin deserves one, so does our favorite ewok!
