i love reading fanfic as long as it is not porno. i hate it when people overload it with sex and call it star wars. i like a little romance, more than the books show, but as long as the whole story doesnt revolve around that theme. a little action is cool, etc. if the story has SUBSTANCE.

I take pride in my writing and reading of fan fiction. I truly urge those of you who haven't read fan fic yet, to read one. Some of them can be better than the official novels.

Anyway, I won't read romance, obi-torture. I like a lot of action, drama, some more action, humor, and some mystery.

I've read a few, but generally I don't read them as I tend not to find them very good, for the most part.

Yeah, I write it and I read it. I like to think that I am a decent writer, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that I am excellent. There is alot of crap out there and you have to sift through it to get to something that makes you go "WOW!" There is VERY little good stuff. I mostly only read YJK fanfic though (the ani and ami stuff is crap!!) and even that is alot of crap, but some is pretty good.

If anyone wants me to refer them to REALLY good fanfic, ask me and I will direct you to some really amazing stories. If anyone wants to read some of my stuff, I write under the penname Jaina02 (like my name!) and I am registered at fanfiction.net (not the best place to find quality fanfic, but it works).

I wish you wouldn't dephile other writers' works like that. No matter how good or bad they are, the writer put a lot of hard work and effort into writing the story. You could try showing a little appreciation.

I read some and I write. Sometimes it's hard to remember what's canon, though :p

Jaina02, some of the fanfiction you mentioned sounds interesting.

I still have yet to find a fanfic worthy of the books and movies.

I read quite much, all kinds of fics. I accept slash and smut, as long as it is well-written.

I also write a little. Not that much, though.

The fics I like t read are alternate universes, uaually with Luke turning to the Dark Side, and some pre-TPM stuff.

I read mostly Luke stories. I don't like torture fics at all...

I'll recommend anything by Rokangus, Padawan Di-Lee, Herman Snerd or RebelMom.

Much too much of it, in fact. It's really hard to avoid it when you're looking for good adventure stories and it's sickening, the way people disguise porn with a few SW names. Smut (or slash) is not what George Lucas had in mind when he created this universe.

    I read and write fanfic.

I write fics, and read them religiously!!
Yes, unfortunately there is Star Wars porn.
    :(

Some of it is downright disgusting!
    I prefer hoplessly romantic, action, and anything with a plot! 8-}

Well, I didn't think Porn and SW would go together. Quite shocking really. Anyone got a link to some of them?..........kidding, kidding. :p

I read a little and write way too much, as some of my readers would agree. :) And Young_Mara, did I hear you say you're not very good at it? ::Fingers her lanvarok.:: I forbid anyone on the Flight of the Jedi team to say that, given how well it's turning out. And Fluke_Groundwalker, good to see you back.

    In my opinion...

Most fan-fiction = Absolutely horrible. Especially the dozens of Padme and Anakin stories that aren't taking any Episode II information into effect. As in, Padme's last name is NOT Amidala after TPM. It's Naberrie.

However, there is some good stories out there. The Tank Boma stories are good, and Darth Ludicrous and myself have written good stories that aren't published, so they must be fan-fiction for now. I submitted my story to TFN about...3 weeks ago or more, but it's still not archived.

i love reading fanfic as long as it is not porno. i hate it when people overload it with sex and call it star wars.

Those stories are actually quite funny if one knows where to find them. I'll never forget the Jar Jar and Padme one. :) People shouldn't take this stuff too seriously, really. Unless you're living in a sheltered world.

actually, i've found a lot of fics that are wonderfully carried out and written. sure, there's a lot of so-so ones, a lot of redundance (a lot of typos and errors! [face_shocked]), etc. but for the most part, i think the TFN fanfic board is the best source i've found so far. there's tons of diversity, and tons of people for feedback! :D

i like to write romance or drama, centered around the original CT characters. predictably, i like to read the same genre :) prequel fics don't thrill me all too much

Knight Mara and Rebelmom are awesome--if you want to read something great, i reccomend them!

I used to. But alot of the times it would get too long, or the story would start to get weird, or things would happen that just didn't make sense. I have read like one or two that I liked, and one of them was abandoned half-way through.
