    Of course I agree with you, but if you think you're going to convert a conspiracy theorist, especially on the internet, prepare to be disappointed. I know some in person and they're worse than a religious fundamentalist. Try to explain things like confirmation bias and you'll either get a blank stare or they're angrily call you a "sheep" or "brainwashed."

    It's great fun, though!

    It's not close-mindedness, it's common sense. I'm open to new ideas that actually have a basis in reality.
    This is just bored people with too much time on their hands trying to make sense of things they had to look way too hard to even find in the first place.
    Sure, you can believe it as much as you want. Just don't call me a close-minded tool for not believing what you do, and for having a more sensitive B.S. meter than you.

    People or organizations controlling events behind the scenes is nothing new and most certainly nothing that relates only to "secret societies."
    It could be a metaphor for just about anything in our history.

    Also, it could simply just be using a popular theme in the sci-fi/fantasy context. Don't read too much into it. Sith are, in fact, not Illuminati.
