Hard to say, the arms on the frontispiece were hammered away under the Révolution ;)

I'm not sure that's the original for some reason.

Be certain to talk abrasively to old ladies admiring the painting from benches. And do set off the alarms.

Huge bonus picture of which I had no idea it was in Paris. Caught it by chance at the Musee D'Orsay[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

They let you take that picture? They've historically been pretty fussy about that.

Both Louvre and D'Orsay have been fine. D'Orsay is amazing as you can get about 20cm away from the paintings. Highly recommended.

Tomorrow we are going to an "innovative Van Gogh" display. I have high hopes

They're fussy about flash photography. The harsh lighting can mess with preservation efforts and ruin other people's observation of the paintings.

If you're flash free nobody really cares, it's not like copies prevent people from seeing the real thing. They literally sell scans of the paintings in the gift shop.

I've been a bit out of it recently, but I'm still wanting to do my write up. So all I can say is, soooooooooon...

Is that a Mitchell and Webb reference?

I had an attendant give me trouble for taking photos even of the placards there once, and I definitely wasn't using a flash. (Obviously that shouldn't be allowed). In fairness, that was years ago now.

We had people right up to the paintings taking detailed shots of the brush strokes. Maybe it's an out of season/Late night opening thing. It was quite deserted. We didn't have to queue for the Mona Lisa at the Louvre on Wednesday night.

On this date, these were broadcast over BBC1 in, respectively, 1968...
(audio only; they haven't made a new video version yet)

    ...1982...

    ...1983...

    ...and 1984.

Has there been another date with this many important aspects?

Received my set over the weekend. I imagine I'll be spending quite a bit of time with the content but I have to watch hi-def State of Decay 6 or so times in a row first.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine has a short blurb with Alex Kingston in the TV Talk column. It says she'd love to return to Doctor Who as Jodie Whitaker's wife. Quote is 'My character, River Song, is married to The Doctor and as the current character's incarnation is played by Jodie, logically it could happen. I'd certainly be interested in reviving the role'.
I like River Song - wouldn't mind seeing her play against the current Doctor.
