A mediocre movie that features some of the best stop-motion(Dark Overlords)in a film.

I liked the theme song at the end when I was a child. The other day I saw a bit of the movie on TV and eventhou I know it is really really bad I get some kind of freaky craving to watch it. I know it is horrible but I had to watch it. Its like a strange curse.

Was that movie for kids or mature audience?? I mean it has stuff about condoms and some kind of sexual insinuations, right? I dont remember perfectly.

I think it was supposed to appeal to both. I guess that's what happens when you aim for the middle! :p

Honestly, I am on the record for liking Howard (as a VERY guilty pleasure). It's stupid and lame, but I actually enjoy many of the dumb scenes, especially the diner bit. Jeffery Jones definetly hams it up nicely and knew he wasn't making "Macbeth" here! :D

I cant belive so many people hate 'the duck.

I loved it last time I saw it. Its just a silly, fun film that doesnt hype itself up. Its pure fantasy.

I watched it religiously along with Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Aliens and Terminator. It was a fun childhood thing!!

Howard the Duck is a great, fun film, and I can't believe no one has even mentioned my girlfriend, Leia Thompson! (She doesn't know this yet) :D

The song is great, and Howard is a one-of-a-kind duck. Yo-da man!!! [face_laugh]

I like this movie along with some other bad ones like Battlefield Earth. I loved it as a child, & watched it till I could repeat every line. I think for those of us that were kids during that time we could enjoy it more and still appreciate it now as adults than those of that were a little older.....Ouestion.....can you find it on DVD because that would be a nice buy in my opinion.

What I want to know is why people keep blaming GL for the film. He wasn't even a writer on it, and it was a comic book before a movie. It wasn't his idea, and it's not his fault it failed.

I remember that movie. I have actually been recently thinking about the movie too.

I kinda liked it and thought it was funny. I don't remember much about it though.

I think its time that Howard got added to the LucasFilm Projects banner, he was a Lucas creation so it seems reasonable.
