Look,Padme may sometimes not act well but her smile and her body make the PT more worthwhile to watch. Another reason I like the PT.

Yo Carrie is just as hot as Nats dude. She's been in a bikini and all Padme can show for herself is a cheap ripped shirt.

While Leia did have lots of spunk, I think that Padme was the stronger female lead.

If thats what you meant ;)

When Carrier Fisher was making the Star Wars movies she was 10000000000000000000000 times hotter than Natalie...When Natalie pulls her hair back she looks like a little boy. Carrie Fisher knows how to have fun too where Natalie looks like a pretty boring person to hang around at a party.

Padme may be better looking than Leia, but Padme is as dull as... well I can't name anything as dull as Padme for fear of insulting whatever I chose.

Oh and I find it funny that Natalie Portman stuffed her bra and still came out a B.

    [face_laugh] lol, true

Also, Padme is by no means ugly, but you have to admit, she has no figure.
Leia in the bikini is much better looking imo.

Leia has grace, wit, beauty, personality and charm. Padmé is has an irritating nasal voice, a shapeless body, and a dull personality. Guess who I prefer.

Padme doesn't make the PT more exciting to watch and Leia doesn't make the OT more exciting. Carrie Fisher I have always thought is a much better actor for Star Wars though.

Neither one does much for my libido, nor do most of the OT men, or PT for that matter. PT Anakin, though...Quite yummy. [face_love] And a damn good actor too.

For the record though, I do think Portman can act. Though the SW prequels don't rank in with her best performences, I still think she does a quite competant job.

Natalie Portman= Hot, yet no body attraction whatsoever

Carrie Fisher= A bit casual, but still hot

Queen Amidala= Um...hot, but young- kind of like the Olsen Twins (but instead of bazillions of dollars and an entertainment monopoly, she had a kingdom that was under attack ;) :p...)

Senator Amidala= Sort of hot..a bit annoying, but still hot ;)

Princess Leia= SMOKIN!!! HOOOOOOOOOOT BAAAABBBY!!! WHOOOOOO!!!

*sighs* Han Solo you lucky dog you.. ;) :p

Ken Kenobi- And you have a nice day ;)

Leia all the way. I've had a crush on Princess Leia since I was seven. Still do, too. :D

    Queen Amidala/Senator Amidala, same thing.

We first knew her as "Queen Amidala" and thats the way it stays. Kinda like how most people refer to Leia as "Princess Leia" even though she was only an actual princess for half of one movie. Or how most people call ANH, simply "Star Wars." Or how in EpIII, everyone will refer to Darth Tyrannus as "Dooku" even though the name "Dooku" will probably not even be mentioned in the film.

It has to do with the way we FIRST knew somebody. Somethings are hard to change.

Well, Carrie Fisher brings out the character of Leia better than Natalie Portman brings out the character of Padme Amidala. As far as looks go, I think Natalie Portman is more attractive, but Carrie Fisher is definitely more entertaining.

I don't know. I like both characters, but I wouldn't say that either one necessarily makes their respective trilogy more exciting to watch.

I agree.Although I prefer Padme's character to Leia's,neither of them makes PT or OT more exciting to watch. They're parts of the movies, not garnitures,IMO.

I think Leia added a lot to the OT because no one had ever seen a strong female character in fantasy movies before. Usually the princess would be the one being saved, not the one doing the rescuing. Leia is one the best characters I've ever seen.

Padme isn't much like her daughter as a character. She is brave and tough, but she had an underlying current of melancholy that Leia doesn't have. It seems like Leia got Anakin's recklessness and spunk while Luke got Padme's calmer, sadder side.

As for the actresses themselves, they were both very, very attractive. Carrie Fisher was perfect for the character. Of course guys will always remember the slave girl outfit. Natalie has one of the best smiles I've ever seen. The scene in the grass, where she's wearing the outfit that looks like Queen Ozma from Oz..wow. I hope Natalie doesn't develop the personal and mental problems that Carrie has. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Either way the characters add a lot to the saga, not their looks. Although no one will ever forget Padme's crazy dresses or Leia's honey bun hairdo.

Interestingly enough, there are no major female villians in SW. Guess Zam was the closest. Lucas said he doesn't do evil chicks. Strange, as the feeme fatale was a staple of 30's and 40's cinema.

Leia definetly, I don't like Padme much at all, just on the Tatooine scenes. Leia is a great character though, I really don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. Carrie seems like someone I'd hang and go to a party with but Natalie seems like someone I'd go lie to get her naked with.

    Sleemos!!!

    ;)

I personaly think it's difficult to compare them side by side. You have to picture yourself in the era. The ideal woman of the late 70's is a distant cry of today's ideal.

I was 8 when I watched SW and (as mnay), thought Leia was the prettiest darn girl I've ever seen.

When I saw Queen Amidala, I was 30 and father to a 3 yr. old daugther. So my feelings and perceptions were a bit different. Don't get me wrong, Padme is very pretty, but she lacks the body to go with the character.

I, for one, think that Leia got her looks/body from the paternal side of the family ;), (nightmare sequence anyone?)
