Does the AOTC Monopoly even exist?

I remember about a year ago, there was an article and picture posted about an AOTC edition of Monopoly, which made perfect sense, there had been a Trilogy edition, and a TPM edition, and the AOTC had Yoda with his lightsaber on the box and everything.

It hasn't come out. Hasbro has nothing about it on their site, and none of the online stores have listings for it, and I have not seen it in any retail store. Was it ever made? Is it still coming, but not yet released? Was it cancelled?

If anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate it.

I see it everyday, it looks cool and I've told my mum I want it for X-Mas, ufortuntely, I came across a board game today in th closet, it was the orginal Monopoly, not th AOTC one, oh well.

I got it from Hasbro in May but never really plaid it.

Well, I am here in the US, it is sounding like only you guys in the UK have seen it, any confirmation from people in America?

That totally sucks! I collect Monopoly and have been waiting for a while for the AOTC edition! They better release it here soon!!

Ok, I took a look on the Entertainer website that I referred to in my earlier post. They do ship internationally. For a shipment to the US, the price would be about

£30.00 + £11.61 Postage

In US dollars that works out to about
68.50 at today's exchange rate. I did take a look on amazon.uk but they don't have it listed. I guess if anyone wants it bad enough they can get it thru the Entertainer. With the holidays coming up, maybe you can put it on your gift list. However, allow for shippping time between here and the US.

I am surprised that this is not available in the US, though. Normally we collectors here in the UK get nailed postage-wise on shipping items from the US. Nice to know we 'win' once in awhile..

I like how the box is much like the saga packaging for the action figures. I think I might order this game! Thanks for the link to the Entertainer site.

 

After all this talk about the game, I might go get it tomorrow at the local Entertainer.
I have seen it in the StarWars section on past visits..now I think I want it..

This is also avaible in the Netherlands were I live. I bought it a few months ago (just after the release of AOTC).

Macy's huh? I have a Macy's card, but I haven't been there in a while cause my card is maxed out.

 

I took a quick look on Macys' website
(www.macys.com) and didn't get a hit on
Star Wars or AOTC. A search on Monopoly yielded two items,
neither of which was Star Wars related. If they have it they must not sell it online..
Finally opened mine. The pewter figures are
pretty good, almost worthy of display outside of the game.
(Not quite large enough for that tho - they would easily be lost). Pretty impressed.

 

Hmmm...I wonder what the deal is. It is definitely not available in my area of the US, nor is it even available online in the US. I have looked at every online source I can think of, and have even done a general search, the best I get is an option to order from the UK. I may have to do that, I just hope they are still available after Christmas.

 

Maybe I will wait for the monopoly game to come to the US. I just calculated the cost of the game plus shipping to the US and it works out to be $67. *faints*

 

I have found it on a German site for 39 US dollars (and an odd bit of change)
but that does not include shipping. They have an English-language store. Go
here for the main site and search on "monopoly".
I have never ordered from these folks, though I did find the link on
either Rebelscum or Galactic Collector when I was
searching for something else and bookmarked it for future use.

Had a bad thought after posting the German site - if you want to order from them you might want to find out if the instructions, etc are in English or German...
