ST Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux) in Episode VII

Even if Nyong'o and Christie and the others have a large role, I don't think it'll be larger than Gleeson's. The same size if anything. I personally hope he's some kind of Jedi or something, especially if Andersen is a bad guy, he's probably the new cast member I can relate too most.

 

How do you relate to Gleeson, if I may ask? Not being sarky or anything. Genuine question about what you mean.

 

He's a white dude who is somewhat young. I'm closer to age to Pip but if he's a bad guy, I want a hero to relate to

So there's been rumours about pretty much the entire cast, except Domnhall Gleeson. Small part or just a big secret?

Pretty much what Domhnall himself has said, but I wouldn`t trust Devin even if my life depended on it.

 

Why?

 

Ehh at this point I kinda feel like having him be Luke's son would be too...how do I say...expected.

 

Oh yeah Devi, you are so interesting, you so much and we all know so little. Is that what you want us to think?.

If it is super interesting and a spoiler, I bet that he is paying someone any of us is expecting.

 

Not sure how else his identity could be considered a 'pretty big spoiler', especially when I don't buy the Kenobi rumors at all.

I hope not, but he does look a bit like the young clone of Palpatine from Dark Empire. That would be awful.

 

What if the villain decided to create a kid with the combined DNA of Kenobi, Luke and the Emperor in order to create the most powerful force user ever! Then he can *technically* be the child of ALL the people. Toss in some Plagueis (or Ruin whichever is more popular) and a dash of Anakin and you got yourself one video-game level overpowered dude.

 

Why do this when a clone of Anakin would be more powerful?

 

I think if Faraci is right, then Gleeson is most likely not a droid.

 

because then you'd have Anakin's powers times everybody else. IDK....this is why I don't write screenplays

 

He may very well have signed the contract in America. His schedule just allowed him to fly to London for a day or two and take part in the read. Had filming for Brooklyn been taking place, he wouldn't have been able to make it. Actors travel back and forth quite often.

One fan opinion right now seems to be leaning towards Driver turning into a villain over the course of the film like Anakin. So who knows. Could be Driver, Isaac, Gleeson, Andersen, Clarke, Nyong'o and I guess if Isaac can be considered (in the tradition of Ford) then Christie is relatively young too.

Ah. You've decided that the open call actors were only announced as part of the end of a gimmick and not because the search was meant to fill the roles of two characters that were worth the effort. Well since neither of us truly know, there's not much that can be said here.

Though at least in Andersens defense there have been reports or indications of him filming scenes in July, August, and September via rumor sites and his twitter account. So at least he's not a one and done like Bruce Spence as Tion Medon. Also, UTA did sign him just like they did Ridley this summer.

My question would be....How does 3po even have a kid? He's a robot! I dont think they can reproduce...or...can they?
