Donnie Darko sequel in the works

It's supposed to be set seven years later and the focus is on the sister. Sounds kind of interesting, but I have a wait and see attitude on this. I loved Donnie Darko, so I hope that this works out.

I hate to be negative, but this sounds like it won't be any good at all. One of those Strait-to-DVD flicks.

I could be wrong, but it's kinda hard to recapture what was done in the original. It's like making a sequel to Pulp Fiction.

They'd better hurry up, if they wanna get that Swayze cameo.

(Daveigh Chase finally turns 18 in two months, so there's that, at least.)

 

It's a Sparkle Motion expose.

 

The first film is IMO a "one-of-a-kind" film and I can't see how this sequel can be good in any way.

Hollywood never had ideas...they just became really good about recycling old ideas again and again. But now? Not so much.

 

Hollywood needs to be purged.

Flashback to the 80s was interesting. Flashback to the 90s??? Eh.

 

Adding Elizabeth Berkley to the cast is probably a bad move. I guess we'll see.
