This might be a little odd coming from since I've only read a handfull of Dragonlance books, none of them being the originals. But I have read quite a bit about it and got a thrill when I found this. It will however not be a live action film but instead will be a 2d/3d animated movie.

I guess 2d/3d means regular animatipn with CGI mixed in. I would rather have seen a love action series but it could still turn out well enough.

This is a good deal more manageable as an animated movie, though. Perhaps in the future they can swing the money and trust for such a project, but right now that would be an immense live action movie.

We've been having fun coming up with a "dream team" voice cast:

    Vin Diesel as Caramon
Liam Neeson as Elistan or Tanis
    Michael J. Fox as Tasselhoff
    Brian Blessed as Flint
    Demi Moore as Kitiara
    Michael Clarke Duncan as Verminaard
Robin Williams as Fizban the Fabulous

EDIT: Though I'm interested by the choices thus far...Keifer Sutherland as Raistlin...wouldn't have guessed that, but [face_thinking] I like it!

The sites FAQ says that Lucy Lawless is Goldmoon.
    BAD SIGN.
Of course they only hired her becuase "well she played this D & D chick on Tv, so heres this other D&D chick..."

Except GOldmoon is hardly a musclebound headslicer. And this is just the sort of one-dimensional lazy thinking that sinks many a good movie.

Though, of course, being animated, Goldmoon won't look like a musclebound chick, and Lucy Lawless has done stuff other than Xena, and I think would be fine lending a voice to the character.
