I don't know much about Chyren.

Vert and Pbra are cool, and good mods.


I don't know much about Pboy, but I've heard lots of bad things, and not many good things. However, hearsay is often inaccurate.

DL I think is pretty cool, because he's one of the few mods(other than the Gatherer, who rarely posts outside of the EU forums) that supports the EU. Most other mods that I've seen have veiled contempt at best and downright loathing at worst for it.
I don't really know about his abilities as a mod, but he's a pretty cool guy.

As for Azeem, from what I've seen, my opinion of him is pretty low, and unless he's changed, I wouldn't want to post at a board he's in charge of(again).

If only I could find that DRAMA pic.

This is the stupidest thing I've read in a long time. TF.N can do whatever the hell it wants with this site. If they want to make it a site about goat herding in Malaysia, it's their dime. If they want to demote people, then so be it. Even if they are doing the greatest job in the world and every single person on this board is happy.


Now, that being said, Mods and Admins can't do whatever the hell they want. They do what TF.N says. If they don't do that, they get canned. Pretty simple.


If TF.N has no problem with people working here and at starwars.com, then fine. NO ONE IS MAKING YOU POST HERE. NO ONE IS MAKING YOU ADMINISTRATE HERE. NO ONE IS MAKING YOU DO A DAMN THING AND YOU AREN'T PAYING FOR THIS SERVICE. So accept it and shut the hell up or don't accept it and get the hell out.

 

I've thought this before, but never posted it here I don't think.

I think the term of a JC mod/manager should be one year only.

You know I think it's required that a mod bashing thread is started every now and then, just on general principle.

 

The JC should be multipartisan. That way, a balance of power can be maintained through constant bickering within the admins. To hell with admin coherence, I say! Those are the roots of a dictatorial oligarchy that breeds propagandistic thought control over the membership in a most elitist and selfish fashion. The JC may not be a democracy, but it is still representative!

Almost everyone here thinks the JC needs a dictator, benevolent or otherwise.
The fact they each one thinks that it should be them is immaterial.

2) What is the Refuge, and what is the concept of Refuge VS. JC?

this is one of the longest threads i've read without understanding what it's really about.

this is a starwars board. it is not real life. it is not the only starwars board on the internet. if you don't like the way it's being run, say something or leave. no mod is perfect. everyone makes mistakes. and, dude, they're not even getting paid. cut them some slack! trying to bring it/them down makes no sense. and, to be honest, it's not really worth the effort.

 

When did the JC develop into parties taking a piece with them? Rhetorical question of course, but it is so ridiculous that other spinoff boards of the JC become relevant topics in the JC.

 

I don't think anybody who frequents the Slacker Council ezboard should be calling anyone else a dork.

Whats your grievance with psycho? He doesn't give you hacked passwords?
He almost shut down the SC? For that alone psychotic should be unbanned.

Separate and private ezboards for some of the moderators are a conflict of interest methinks.

A few points:

Some of the members here have made very valid arguments about the sad state of affairs that is now the JC.

And what do they get for it?

The treatment that the administration itself condemns.

PreacherBoy has flamed everyone who has disputed his opinon on the matter, and Cigam has done an excellent job in making it painfully obvious of his brown-nosing ability to say it tactfully.

So, what does this say about the state of affairs on this forum? It isn't in good shape.

As far as psychotic being racist, he claims to be half-american indian, (like myself, hence the my screen-name) and uses racial slurs like they do out on "the street" whatever that means.

Katarn, I believe was accused of taking peoples email addresses and putting them on porn mailing lists, so I heard. Please correct me if I'm wrong, please!

 

I complained about some user breaking the rules, and they were chastised. Then some admin (PB I heard) went and told that user that it was my fault. So now I have some nutball giving me threats in other net venues and intent on rl violence.
