?NATIONAL DAY OF DARKNESS? BEFALLS HMV FOR STAR WARS EPIII REVENGE OF THE SITH DVD
AND BATTLEFRONT II VIDEO GAME LAUNCHES

Date: Monday, 31st October 2005

Venue: HMV, 150 Oxford Street, London, W1

Time: 12 noon ? Ground floor stage area


31st October 2005 ? The biggest gathering of evil London has ever seen will descend on HMV this Halloween to mark the eagerly anticipated releases of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith on DVD and the Star Wars Battlefront II video game.

If one Darth Vader wasn?t enough in the universe, prepare to be met by 300 masked crusaders from the Dark Side as they fight to own the latest copy of the final instalment of the Star Wars saga on DVD.

Under the close guard of several stormtroopers, film star Anthony Daniels (C3-PO), who has been in all 6 Star Wars movies, will also be making an exclusive appearance for photographs followed by an autograph signing session for fans (12.15pm ? 2.15pm).

Get your lightsaber at the ready and head down to HMV, Oxford Street this Halloween for the ultimate encounter with the ?Darth-side!?

We?re looking for 300 willing participants (first come, first served) to wear a Darth Vader mask and be a part of this event! If you?re interested in coming down on the day, please wear black and start queuing as soon as possible at HMV on Oct 31st (opens 9am)! All those chosen will receive a free Star Wars EPIII DVD T-shirt and Darth Vader mask to take home.

This is the just news I have been waiting for, I shall be there for sure. This will also be perfect for a London/UK chapter meet up. I wonder if I should wear my Jedi gear, well I guess it is Halloween.


Are you sure it is not Midnight instead of Noon, the DVD comes out 1 Nov not Oct 31?

 

How long will he be signing stuff for? I might beable to make it there after school.

Sounds good, and I'm seriously tempted to go but I'll have to see how things pan out.
Part of me is really glad it's happening at noon and not midnight though
But to be honest I'd rather not have Ant Daniles scribble all over the DVD, so I'll give that part of miss

 

Will Mr 3P0 be signing oanything else apart for DVD's?

 

He will be signing anything as is normal with autographs

 

Usually with these kind of promo events, they will only sign the relivant merchandise for the promotion, in this case the HMV Episode III DVD. The same goes for book signings, album signings etc. So, my advice is to get the DVD from the HMV store, or else you may be disappointed.

 

Well, I'm off on Monday, so I'll try to make an effort to attend

 

who else is going to attend in costume? come on everybody it is star wars and halloween, what other excuse is needed.

 

If I go, I'll go in black and will don the Mask they provide. I don't have a proper SW cossy, but that will change one day

 

What costume do you intend to have for that not too distant day?

 

It will be a Jedi costume, designed by myself. My very, very kind German friend will help me with it; she makes great SW costumes and she actually knows what to do, unlike me

Will you be going as Anakin TDV??

 

I sure will, The costume has served me very well

I have a damned lecture from 12:20 to 1:20 on Monday!

Will try to miss it, but I fear that might not be possible - but will be there in the morning to pick up my DVD
