Alright, Earl Grey...round two...this time with some sugar.

Eh, it still tastes pretty bland.

As my dear gentle nan would say if someone was daft enough to request sugar or milk with tea:

"Would you like me to spit on your tea, too?"

Put that tin of condensed milk into a pot of boiling water, and turn it into Dulce de Leche and make yourself a Banoffee pie.

That’s the most loving thing you can do with a can of that ****

For all those saying that Earl Grey tastes bland, I think that's the problem. Earl Grey is quite a refined and complex blend, it's not something that overwhelms your tastebuds, like coffee or a lot of fruit flavoured teas. Let it take some time and learn to appreciate the beautiful taste, and don't drench it in sugar or milk!

I used to drink Earl Grey religiously, with just a dash of milk.

After my pregnancy, I couldn't stand it. I now drink English Breakfast religiously, with a dash of milk.

So I ignored your advice and put condensed milk in my Earl Grey tea. It tastes like some bad pearl milk tea...and still very bland. Or maybe I should say I've discovered the main ingredient in bad pearl milk tea.

Slightly warm water the first few times. I used hot water today, but I left it sitting around so long that it just went down to room temperature.

Well until it becomes legal to tie a string around a politician's neck and toss them into a vat of boiling water, this will just have to do!

    Enough of this heresy

Just a shortcut I take sometimes with tea or instant noodles if I don't feel like waiting for it to cool down.

Boil the water and steep it for 3-5 minutes and then put real milk in it with a tiny amount of sugar.
