Earth Images

Hy everyone

a long time ago (approx a year or so) someone posted a link to a nasa ftp server where you can download high resolution images from earth.
I searched but can't find it. Can anyone help me ? I need the images.

WOW! These images are freakin awesome! They've even got pics of the lights on the dark side. Not to mention the fact that the detail on the larger ones is breathtaking. Even more so when you composite everything into a space scene. Wow....

I found a direct link to the 1km/pixel downloads of the entire planet somewhere, but can't remember where. PM me if you can't find them, as I can send them to you.

I stumbled on this fantastic tutorial about a year ago, when I was looking to make a realistic Earth for a project I was doing. Turned out really good, even though I had to tweak it a bit.

No it isn't for endor. It's for the earth itself

 

I have 4 high res (4096*2048) earth maps, Color, Bump, Spec, and Cloud. I used these to create this earth:

These are, of corse, low res compared to the ones on the site that Agentgonzo gave.

if you ever need to find them just do a google search for blue marble.

(they make outstanding backdrops on big monitors btw.)
