we should start something up again, maybe if we made in a designated day each month it would work out better

Okay, how about the second sunday of the month? We'll start in Febraury, but we'll need to choose a book.

Heh... still haven't heard back about the book club.

So, I read Labrynth of Evil. Biiiiig mistake, because now I am way too excited to see the movie and extremely impatient for May 19th. One of the descriptions for the book that I read back in the fall said that this book leads up to the events in Episode 3. They mean literally. From what I know of the opening scene of the movie, the book ends off exactly where the movie is going to pick up. Reading it has gotten me really pumped to see the movie now. Not only does the book leave you where the movie starts, but it sets up some major events for the movie in what amounts to some scattered throw-away lines.

Spoiler level* - It's hard to say, really. If you know a few things it will spoil you in that it will fill in some gaps in what you know, if you know almost nothing about RotS then it's not likely to spoil you at all because you won't know what plays a prominent role in the movie (except for the last few chapters, which are fairly important to the movie).

All in all, I gotta say this was one of -if not the greatest- of the prequel books. It has the old-fashioned Bantam-era feel. Not everything is revolving around one planet (Hard Contact, Shatterpoint, Approaching Storm or almost any clone-wars era novel), nor are the backdrops static. The main characters travel all over the galaxy giving it that movie-quality feel. It more than delivers on what it promises.

    Score: 5/5

*This is my disclaimer about Ep. 3 spoilers. Read at your own risk :p

Yeah, but they're saying Tom Hanks is cast as Langdon. Blegh, I don't mind his comedies but can anyone actually picture him as Robert Langdon? :(

I saw a commercial for a documentary on History Television the other day for a doc called The Real Da Vinci Code. Probably to coincide with the movie. It didn't say much but it looks worth checking out :)

ED: Forgot to mention it's on March 23rd...
