(awkward silence as Harran remains totally motionless)

3) Harran: Was that right?
4) Harran: That's kinda hard to do, you know.
5) Able: Naw, see here, Basso didn't show ya right, he's a doofus, DOOO . . . FUSS!
6) Able: It's more like this, ya see, Cap'n?
7) Basso: Hairsplitter . . .
8) Harran: Like this?!?
9) Harran: I think maybe someone else should be leading this squad . . .

Jeremy, yours is the funniest so far, IMHO! And that's no insult to the others! This is fun. Which reminds me, Jeremy, of something totally off topic, that I've always wanted to complement you on "The Best Blades," one of my favorite Star Wars stories ever. I hope you know what a great contribution that was.

 

Aw, Quinine -- you're embarrassing me! Thanks, though, I appreciate the compliment. The Yoda story felt special when I was writing it, and I'm happy to see that it's connected with people. I'm glad you liked it.

I think I inadvertently screwed up this thread . . . Oops, sorry. On with the funnies!!

 

Wow! This story arc just keeps getting better and better, and, in addition, it's getting a little mysterious now. Just whose side is Deena on anyway? It's kind of hard to figure out whom exactly she's betraying when she says, "What have I done?" Has she given the Imperial Officer incorrect or correct information about the Rebel whereabouts? And what a surprise in the last panel! I never suspected we'd ever see this particular character . . . . This might be working itself up to be the best story arc of all in Empire.

Really good issue. This arc continues to be excellent. Tank's appearance at the end was pretty damn cool.

 

Is it just me, or does Fabbri draw three main women in such a way that they look almost exactly the same? One would be Deena, the second the Imperial torture officer and the third the poor slave woman who almost gets sexually assaulted by Sunber's rival. Is there some significance to this? Is there some connection between these three women that we don't yet know about or does Fabbri simply draw all women as busty hotties with big lips? And moreover what is going on with torture lady anyway? There are certainly some hints going on that she is up to a lot more than previously suspected. Could she and Deena somehow be in league? This story is brewing up a lot of mystery and anticipation. Can't wait 'til next issue.

 

When did able join the empire?

 

Able was never part of the Empire. He was part of the Republic Army during the Clone Wars.

 

He is talking about Able's appearance as an enemy officer in this comic series... He's a double agent working for the Alliance.

Yeppers - can't remember the name of it offhand (it not having been TPB'ed, and all that) but it's the one with Han and Chewie and a weird green thing on the cover. I'll check.
