Yep. I'll give this to the X-Wing covers- they almost always depict an actual scene from the novel. :p

Are we seeing two halves of the Falcon flying together to merge back together, or what? Why are there motion blurs from the right and the left both? And not from, you know, the back?

Or are those not supposed to be motion blurs, and the cover guy was just like, "Well, the easiest way to drop this stock image in here without looking like a cut-and-paste job is to just futz around with the blur feature all around the edges"?

Ugh you guys. I am so sick of Photoshop right now.

Say, what does the back cover of Razor's Edge look like? It occurs to me I've never seen the actual book.

I've read Leviathan Wakes by Corey, and I could definitely see something of Han and Leia in its Holden and Naomi characters.

But they never got around to make their Corporate Sector or Tion Cluster guides (HS and the Corporate Sector and Mission to Lianna don't count). So you have to read them.

    And, y'know... XIM.

Dammit Jason, I was getting all set to write this off as a wait-til-paperback purchase. I've heard nothing but raves for Abraham and Corey, but I'm so, so weary of 0-3 ABY and I need to start prioritizing my purchases better than I have been.

    Grr. Argh.

I don't think we'll be getting any post ROTJ, till the ST, we'll probably see a lot of 5 to 0 BBY, and 0 to 3 ABY, till the ST comes out.

In other words, more Big Three books that take place around Episode IV. How...daring... :(

I read it this morning -- yet another snow day with my kids. It's a quick read, but ultimately unsatisfying IMO.

And once again, poor Luke. Fans hoping for more than a glimpse of him will be sorely disappointed by this installment. He has a big moment with Wedge - and it happens off page. I think it would score pretty highly on the diversity scale, though.

Not even opened the first page, sorry. :(

On the shelf behind me, I have... Scoundrels, Annihilation, Mercy Kill, Into the Void, Scourge, Lost Tribe Collection, Shadow Games, Last Jedi, Crucible, Razor's Edge, Lockdown... and now Honour Among Thieves at the top... I've been so busy in recent years that my Star Wars reading has just built up and built up. I've been working through my new Omnibus collection recently, and just... can't decide now where to even begin on the novel stack.

EDIT: What in the blue blazes...

The book cover still says Honor without a "u"... oh boy... now I feel like setting light to that book. "British" edition my backside.

OK, yes, those are mitigating circumstances yes, BUT....

Even now there's nothing like the fun of having a book before everyone else! It's a lot of fun and I'd urge you to take advantage of it.

I've said it before, but get this book. Get it now. One of the best Star Wars reads I've enjoyed in years.

Just got the audio book and having a blast so far. Humor is great and it is one of the rare books in recent times that makes the galaxy just feel vast again. :)

It's not out til March 27 here in the UK according to Amazon UK. I ordered it and a John Scalzi pb (also with a delayed UK release date) from Amazon US. I'll have to avoid this thread while my order swims across the pond..

Edit - stickied the thread as well.

The Book Depository is your friend when Amazon is being tardy.

They've always been reliable, albeit they often have stocks of US imports (hence the early dispatch, I guess), so it can cause displays to look a bit unsightly with all these different sized books, but... I admit I gave up worrying about display issues when Dark Horse changed the Omnibus spines :\
