I didn't see a thread about this yet and I wanted to give my thoughts on this whole thing (I tried attaching a photo of the whole first wave but I don't really know how to add photos to posts properly, I apologize in advance lol)The first thing I wanted to say is that these are 100% for kids and not collectors, so this website is probably the worst place to talk about it because I'm willing to bet a massive majority of the people who use this site are over the age of 20. However, there's something about this line that is kind of fascinating to me and that's because we are supposed to be getting basic and deluxe figures along with vehicles, which sounds really awesome. I'm not going to lie, at first, this line was giving me massive Misson Fleet vibes which was another line completely for kids. I like the interesting accessories that came with some of the Misson Fleet figures but I couldn't stand the scale. They were way too small, however once again for kids. I can't help but feel like kids would want figures a bit better than that. These Epic Hero Series are said to be about 4 inches, which is another thing that really intrigues me about this line. I was one of the people who actually liked the 5 point of articulation figures that were released for The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Last Jedi, and Solo (no Rise of Skywalker unfortunately), mainly because the detailing on the figures got better with every release. To be honest ALOT of those Rogue One figures still hold up to this day, I think. They were really great and are probably still the best of the lot. Unfortunately, with the Epic Hero Series we seem to be going back, because the paint and detailing on the figures that we have seen so far, are pretty bare bones. The Ahsoka figure literally just looks like a repack of the Retro Collection Ashoka figures (they aren't but they look really close). Out of all the figures revealed the Darth Vader and the Deluxe Figures of Sabine and Paz Vizla are the ones that have captured my interest the most. With Darth Vader, I'm just a Darth Vader simp and will buy any figure released of him and the Deluxe ones of little gimmicks to them and I've always been a fan of those kinds of toys. I'm interested to see what kind of characters and vehicles this line gets because this first wave has been very oddly selected, I guess. Most of the figures are characters from the most current Disney+ shows except Darth Vader. Does that mean we could get other characters from across the Saga like General Grievous, Anakin Skywalker, or Captain Phasma because I would absolutely love figures in this line of those three. Part of my interest in these is the price. Everything these days is so expensive, especially Star Wars, I love The Black Series and The Vintage Collection, but their prices are getting way out of hand however the basic figures are only 10 bucks. and the Deluxe figures are only 15 bucks. That may still be quite a lot for some but for me, I'm kind of down with it. Unless they feel really cheap. At this current moment, I haven't seen any in person, so I have no way of knowing yet but I'm kind of hyped to check some of these out.

I'm actually pretty curious about this line. Traditional 3.74" figures are great, but as they evolved I think the accessories, especially lightsabers, became too flimsy for play. Maybe my kids are uniquely destructive, but those things snap like toothpicks.

The pictures I've seen of the Epic line Luke Skywalker has a pretty sturdy looking lightsaber. A good sculpt on the figure as well in his Mando/BOBF appearance likeness.

All that said, I don't know why Hasbro refuses to develop a 3.74"-4" Star Wars line that rips off the Fortnite figures at that scale. Those are at once super articulated and very sturdily made.

Been a bit since I made this thread so I figured I would make an update as the figures are now out in the wild. Currently, I've seen every figure in person and have bought 4 as of this writing. I've got The Paz Vizla, Din Djarn, Darth Vader, and the Stormtrooper. At this point, I am fully indenting to buy all the available figures because I'm a bit hooked and I'll fully go into why soon. Overall, out of the four I have, I am pleasantly surprised. I think this line is very great for kids or budget collectors. One of the aspects of this toy line that I'm interested to see play out is the deluxe figures because they come with all these extra accessories that can be added to any figure of the line thanks to peg holes on both arms and back. I originally thought the Stormtrooper release was very odd because it looked very blocky and that still holds up because it is very blocky looking lol. This is just a personal nitpick of mine but it kind of stands out like a sore thumb that the neck isn't painted but it's a pretty easy fix with a Sharpie or Gundam marker. The Din Djarn is a really great figure in my opinion. It has a removable cape as well as both the Darksaber and his signature blaster. The paint is also pretty good. This silver is actually quite shiny and not like some dull grey color. The brown paint they used for his belt is very odd because it stands out quite a bit. The Paz Vizla deluxe figure is also pretty great. It's painted pretty well and is detailed pretty nicely. The only thing that may suck for this figure is that its main weapon is that large Gatling gun and it's been turned into a missile launching gimmick. For me personally I'm cool with it because it reminds me of the old Power of the Force gimmick figures. The added gauntlet with the flame effect is very nice and it's pretty cool and odd to put it on Vader or someone who isn't supposed to have a flamethrowing ability lol. Lastly that I have to mention for now is the Darth Vader figure, it's the outlier of this whole wave because so far, all the figures released have been characters or versions of characters from any of the Disney+ shows and Vader just hasn't been any Disney+ show yet, but he is the face of the franchise so it would make sense that they would release a figure in this line of him and so far he might be my favorite. The sculpt is very nice, especially for his helmet, it really sticks out to me, in a good way. The lightsaber is great and is thankfully not too thin. It's quite bulk in fact. Most of the paint that you would expect to be on a Darth Vader figure is here, some of the buttons on his chest are unpainted but it's not too noticeable or even relevant I feel. The cape is removable which is great because now you can give Vader a jetpack or backpack for Grogu to fit into lol.
The more I think about this line-up of figures I'm very surprised they didn't release a Boba Fett figure either his old-school look or of his Book of Boba Fett look. I guarantee we'll get that soon though. I plan on buying the rest of the wave, so I'll definitely come back to this thread to talk about the Grogu, Luke, Ashoka, and Sabine figures. I'm really hopeful for this toy line and am very excited to see what's next.

Vader was featured pretty prominently in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

These figures sound great and are very toyetic.

I completely forgot all about Kenobi loooool, it's kind of embarrassing that I did because it's been one of my favorite Star Wars shows so far. Toyetic is the perfect way to describe this line. The potential is endless, I just hope the figures sell well enough to warrant Hasbro to make more figures and potentially some vehicles that would be really awesome.

So lately I've been thinking about what possible figures we could get for potential upcoming waves. As stated, above it seems the only figures they are releasing in this line are from Disney+ shows. So, it's got me thinking of who could be next. Of course, this is just a theory, Hasbro hasn't said if they are only releasing characters and versions of characters from Disney+ shows. I'm just speculating for fun. So, the first character that came to mind on who they would potentially want to make an EHS figure for is Boba Fett. Boba Fett is obviously an extremely marketable character. Now I imagine they would use his default look from Book of Boba Fett. However, Boba's original design can be seen in TBOBF while he's escaping the Sarlacc Pitt. Even still I think they would probably go with his normal look in TBOBF however I would personally like to see a figure release of his O.T. look. The next figure I could easily see them releasing would be a Bo Katan. She had a lot of screen time in Mando S3 and it would be another Mandalorian character that could be on the pegs. Another figure that I think we may see released next in this line could be Marrok. This line is seriously lacking in bad guys, with us only having Vader and an Imperial Stormtrooper. I could see them wanting to add some more villains to this line-up and really who better than Marrok? Marrok didn't appear very much in Ahsoka but when he did, he certainly had a lot of people's interests, not only that but the awesome design just lends itself to a child-friendly/budget collector line. Simply put this character would be a great toyetic figure to add to this line-up (unrelated side note but this would be my most hyped figure for this line if announced, I've become a full simp for Marrok lol). Another great villain to add to this line-up would be Moff Gideon in his Beskar Armor from S3 of The Mandalorian. Very much like Marrok, the design of the armor just lends itself to a figure. Also, we still haven't seen a figure release of this version of the character yet. No Black Series, no Vintage Collection figure not even a Funko Pop. It'd be awesome to see him in this line, it'd be an easy homerun. I only have 3 more figures that I want to discuss at the moment but two of them are very ambitious and would most definitely never happen but as I said, I'm doing this for fun lol. The last "normal" figure that I could think of would be more general as I can't think of who it could be, but for my last pick would be any member of Bad Batch, most likely, Hunter or Crosshair. The Bad Batch is currently the latest Star Wars show streaming new episodes and I could just see them releasing figures of these guys. Now on to the fun ones, so first up is an idea I have for a Deluxe figure. That could be one of the Praetorian Guards we see in the last few episodes of S3 of Mandalorian. My thought was that they could give them some crazy gimmick feature like they for Paz Vizla or Sabine from Wave 1 or they could include all three weapons in one pack, so you could buy three and then have all three versions of that particular Praetorian Guard. I very much don't see this happening, but it would be fun. This next one is most certainly never happening as well, it's too far out there of an idea but still a very cool one. The Young Jedi Adventures is technically considered a new Star Wars show, so I was thinking that we could potentially get some figures out of it. I haven't watched any episodes myself, I tried watching one but felt like I was going to end up on some list lol. However, I was thinking it would be really awesome to get a less cartoony release of High Republic-era Yoda out of it. Yoda is one of the most popular Star Wars characters of all time and he should properly get a figure release, and this would make for such an out-there release that I would be willing to bet that he would become the most sought-out figure of the line.
Obviously, there is so much more they could make and release but for now, I'm going to end it here because this would be novel length if I kept going lol.
