SWRPF Archive Episode 0: The Dark Ghost [Parallel RPG]

The Dark Ghost

The rain was pounding hard on the open field laid bare before the powerful storm that was sweeping across the region. However, it was Naboo and the storm could, even then, only be described as beautiful if not without its warnings of lightning and thunder streaking defiantly across the sky. Urging pilots in the area to just try to get past it.

But the focus of this particular moment was not in the sky, but on the ground by a small simple cottage not far from one of Naboo?s great sculpture-filled cities. A man and woman stood in the doorway with the lights on behind them, facing another man and woman standing before them. The ones outside wore brown traditional robes that uniquely and undeniably marked them as Jedi.

The woman was exceptionally beautiful, her blonde hair now wet from the rain and exposing her pointed ears, which she brushed some wet hair behind before holding out her arms and taking hold of a small bundle. A baby.

?Please take care of him...?softly murmured the woman who was inside. She briefly glanced back at the father who was beside her. His gaze was on the baby, cold and uncaring. The woman was taking it hard and his look only made it that much harder.

The male jedi, a human, could read that he was one of the reasons the mother was giving her son away as easily as she was. Not that it was easy by the constant glances she was giving the child and the tears that were already present on her face and the waver in her voice. The father did not care for the son, did not want him. Thame Cerulian, as that was who he was, felt truly sorry for the woman caught in the crossfire of love and hate.

?We will take care of him, you need not worry over your child. He will be loved and will lead a wonderful life within the Order,? the woman jedi responded softly, her words giving some courage to the mother and softening the father. She always had that effect.

?Well spoken, Master Fay. The child will be safe with us indeed,? Master Cerulian agreed.

The child, now seven years old, with beautiful blond hair and intense blue eyes was training now with a lightsaber, practicing his form and technique. Watching and critiquing him was the Quermian jedi master known as Yarael Poof. He praised him on many occasions, which only caused a smug look to grow on the human boy?s face. That which was quickly scolded away.

Yarael left the room quietly as the boy continued his training. Outside, he met Fay who was watching through a window which the boy could not look through from inside. The two jedi nodded toward each other.

?Greetings, Master Fay. I must say, this boy...is exceptional. Absolutely exceptional. Master Yoda would be here instructing him if he and the other Council members weren?t dragged off to that situation upon Malastare recently.?

?Yes, I know,? replied Fay softly as she watched the boy perform a complicated jumping slash maneuver, though wobbling on his landing a little and muttering to himself for it.

?He is by far the best student of his generation or any generation I have yet seen. Perhaps only you and Master Yoda were on his level at the same age, if I may be so bold as to say. Before you discovered him on Naboo, didn?t you say to Master Cerulian at the time you were going to head for Eriadu? Why didn?t you? Was it really this boy??

Fay was quiet a moment before nodding, ?That is correct, Yarael. He and the political instability on Eriadu at the time were both large callings from the Force. I was left to choose which path to take, a very rare occurrence. I was so close to heading for Eriadu. So close. But something....something about the boy?s presence called me just a bit stronger at the right time and I met with Thame and headed for Naboo instead.?

?Intriguing, simply intriguing...?

Spectra is a master of deception, but is well versed in the art of combat, both from the shadows and in the light. Her training has been brutal, enough for her to shed any and all feeling in the presence of her Master.

Appearance: The once ruggedly handsome Jedi master now sports a more noble and venerable look. He prefers simple tan colored robes, though his mane of white hair and striking sky blue eyes still serve as distinguishing features. Thame now stoops to about 5'11", but can rise to his 6'2" frame when the occsasion warrants. Interestingly enough, he's also often seen with a mysteriously engraved metallic black quarter staff.
Affiliation: Jedi, the Force.
Rank: Jedi Prime. Jedi High Council Member.
Weapon(s):Thame possess a blue bladed lightsaber. Many suspect his quarter staff to also have a lightsaber blade, or even an alchemically treated sword blade. The staff itself is rumored to be saber proof.
Lightsaber Combat Form: Master Cerulian is quite knowledgeable in the Art of the Saber. He is credited with achieving some refinements of both forms IV and VI, though he is also said to be a practicioner of form VII as well as dual weilding.
Bio: Thame Cerulian is the famed Jedi Master who took Jard Dooku as his Padawan. Cerulian also sits on the Jedi High Council. He is very interested in history and Sith holocrons, as he believes the Jedi will one day have to fight the Sith again, eventually. Though the subject is not discussed much, at least not openly, Thame has none the less prepared all his life for such an eventuality, for he believes this to be the will of the Force.

Appearance: She appears as a very nice looking humanoid female. When you look closer, you notice that instead of hair, she has what looks like thick brown dredlocks which cover her head. They are instead head tenticles, as her species is plantlike. Very tall and pale, with deep yellow-green eyes.

Bio: T'ra Sha is a Neti, as as such, as a strong attachment to the Living Force. She has the ability to heal, and has a great attachment of dealing with animals. They seem to sense her being a part of nature. Her other Force abilities also deal with nature in general, as she is quite sensative to her surroundings. She loves natural settings, prefering them to huge cities. She has an intense dislike for huge fires as well. While she has no real need to eat, getting substances from the sunlight, she does enjoy the sensation, and does so when enjoying other beings company. She can understand Wookiee language, and speaks Twi'lek, Bothan, and Basic.

Hair color and style: Od?s hair is long enough to touch the bottom of his neck in the back and his chin in the front and hangs down in spirally curls. It covers most of his face, aside from a part at the right side.

Apparel: Od wears fairly traditional Jedi robes (despite being a Sith), though all in shades of grey. His first layer is his long-sleeve under tunic, which is a very light shade of grey, and comes down just below his belt. White bandages cover his entire forearm and wrap around his hand. His next layer is a sleeveless black tabard, which has silver buttons and hangs to lower-mid thigh. On top of both layers is a black utility belt, the buckle of which is silver. He wears a dark grey pair of pants, which tuck in to his black, strap-up, knee-high leather boots. A black hooded robe is worn atop all of this when he deems it necessary.

Weapon(s): Od wields two lightsabers, one yellow, and the other viridian with a silver tint. The handles are made from polished white phrik. Black rings made of a rubbery material wrap around the handles, providing the grip necessary to wield the deadly weapons. The power switches are located inside of each handle, and are accessible only through use of the force.

Lightsaber Combat Form: Form IV (Ataru) and Form IX (Jar?Kai)

Bio: Od Revus was born to parents who had no sensitivity to the Force at all, yet was spontaneously endowed with a healthy dose of it himself. His particular strength was in the empathetic area of it all, sensing the emotions and life-forces of the beings surrounding him. When he hit an age (about three or four) at which his powers had blossomed to a capable proficiency, the stress of his home world ? Coruscant ? affected him so badly that he lost control and blindly brandished a concentrated amount of the Force, accidentally killing his parents in the process. When this demonstration was felt by a traveling Jedi Knight, he was brought in for training.
Training was another taxing experience on young Revus? emotions, but he managed to graduate into apprenticeship. The Jedi who discovered him took the sensitive Padawan under his wing, teaching him positive expression of his negative emotions, and the two went on multiple dangerous missions together, but Od?s lack of loyalty to the Council soon proved a problem in his mid-to-late teen years. Against all rules, Od Revus fell in love with another Padawan, but when she was murdered on a mission with her own master, he lost all faith that he may once have had in the Council, and broke away from the order.
He was found shortly after, enraged, confused, and disheartened, by Darth Plagueis. His harsh feelings towards the Jedi aided his decision to join the Dark Lord.

Bio: Wookieepedia. Of note, Palpatine was not found by Darth Plagueis, but a Jedi Master and has been taken in by the Jedi to learn the ways of the Light Side.

He spent his time as an Padawan under the tutelage of Master Yoda. Seemingly before his padawan-ship began, it was over and Cos Palpatine was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight. Through his term as a Jedi Knight he successfully trained an apprentice and then immediately promoted to the rank of Jedi Master at a highly unusual age of 27. In the next several years, he trained another padawan. As soon as said apprentice was promoted, Palpatine took a special liking to Khameir, realizing this young Iridonian had potential to become a very prominent Jedi Knight. As soon as the Zabrak was ready, Palpatine took him on as his own Padawan.

Now, at the age of 40, Jedi Master Cos Palpatine focuses his days on completing the training of Khameir. He has only the highest hopes for the man. He also hopes to one day become a member of the Jedi High Council, an honor bestowed upon very few Jedi Masters.

Bio: Born on his people's adopted homeworld of Alpheridies he was taken at a very early age by the Jedi for traning at the temple. A student under master Yoda as a youngling and taken as a Padawan by a highly respected Twi'lek master, it looked as though Azrael was on the path to great things within the order. However. His master had died before he was knighted, it was no murder it was nothing more than a freak accident that the Jedi Order overlooked, soon after he had grown weary without his master to guide him and his dissolutionment pushed him away from the Order, and onto, at that time, a grey path.

His talent and strength was soon noticed by Darth Plagueis who, somehow brought Azrael in affiliantion with him. It's unlikely that anyone will discovered how Plagueis brought the Miraluka to the dark side, but deception and Azrael's feeling of betrayal would most play a vitual part.

As a very philisophically minded young man, Jon has always struggled to reconcile his experiences and beliefs with the Jedi Code he has sworn to uphold. Over time, he has come to believe that the natural state of the Force is neither light, nor darkness, but somewhere in between, and that using one side or the other exclusively is an unnatural condition that prevents both Jedi and Sith from reaching their full potential.

He has spent many long years away from the prying eyes of the Jedi Council, refining and learning to implement his heretical philosophy. Even his choice of lightsaber forms is symbolic of his new beliefs: With Form VI, he achieves a near-perfect balance of offence and defense, while the relatively new, but already infamous Vaapad Form allows him to channel his inner darkness into his swordsmanship, without falling prey to its corruption, allowing Jon to achieve, in combat, the balance of light and darkness that he believes in.
