ST Episode IX Title Discussion: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER

As Snoke says "the new Jedi will rise". They may be new (we'll find out how and why) but they are still Jedi. We only know there won't be Gray cause that concept is debunked by Pablo and didn't make sense anyway.

Well, I was wrong VIII would be Revenge of Darth Jar Jar (in which Snoke reveals his true identity). So my confidence is shaken.

I'll guess IX will be Guardians of the Galaxy.

I like The New Jedi. I also like the idea the ST becomes 'The' trilogy.

 

A Nude Jedi.

 

The Guardians of Justice. A truncation of the first description of the Jedi from the first time we ever heard about them, in the conclusion of a 9-film saga about them.

A bit generic yes, but so is TLJ.

 

Yes, that looks great. I prefer this to The New Jedi, too.

The sequel titles have been too Force-centric too.




"Republic" and "Galaxy" have never been in a title, though.

But it shouldn't give away the ending.

"Galaxy in Chaos"

"A New Destiny"

 

Rise of the Skywalkers.

"Skywalker" being the new title for each member of the new order of force users inspired by Luke's teachings. I'm betting on it. What was once a family name will become a replacement for "Jedi."

My guess is a K-2-inspired one (or some of you may know him as Kay-Tu).

I really hope it's not A/The New Order. That just makes me think of Bernard Sumner.

Maybe it's my memories of 1985 talking, but part of me thinks Episode IX is going to be The Power of the Force. Of course that would create a Jedi-Force-Jedi-Force pattern, but whatever.

 

This is my thought as well. Puts a full stop on the Skywalker saga.

 

My guess is The New Order.

 

I think this one has zero chance. That term was used to refer to the rise of the Empire, and has real world political associations.

 

I've since changed my mind again, anyway. The New Jedi links up with Snoke's quote in my sig.

 

"The Force awakens the last Jedi with a wedgie".
