    Equilibrium: Welcome to Libria

In the first years of the 21st century, a third WW broke out, those of us who survived knew mankind could never survive a fourth, that our own volatile natures could simply no longer be risked. So we have created a new armor of the law: The Grammaton Cleric whose soul task it is to seek out and eradicate the true source of man?s inhumanity to man: his ability to feel?

Libria, I congratulate you? at last, peace reigns in the heart of man. At last? war is a word whose meaning fades from our understanding. At last? we are whole.

Librians, there is a disease in the heart of man. Its symptom is hate; its symptom is anger; its symptom is rage; its symptom is war. The disease is human emotion, but Libria, I congratulate you, for there is a cure for this disease.

At the cost of the dizzying highs of human emotion we have suppressed its abysmal rose, and you as a society have embraced this cure: Prozium. Now we are at peace with ourselves and humankind is one. War is gone, hate: a memory. We are our own conscience now. And it is this conscience that guides us to rate EC-10 - for emotional content- all those things that might tempt us to feel again and destroy them.

Librians! You have won! Against all odds, and your own natures, you have survived!

    - Father?s Daily Sermon.

Sam cut the connection to the main Libria network off. He had heard Father?s propaganda countless times and at no point did it ever sound any less empty. The man was a machine, just like the rest of Libria?s mindlessly obedient society.

Sam once again went over the list of EC-10s that had been recently incinerated by the Tetragrammaton: the Mona Lisa, the last copy of Beethoven?s Ninth, approximately 900 photos from the pre World War III era, a collection of acoustic guitars, an American Flag, and the last copy of the Star Wars film anthology.

With the Mona Lisa gone and Commander Seamus gone with it, the last of the Da-Vinci collection was in his hands now. He, along with fifty men, was charged by Jurgen himself, the leader of the resistance, to safeguard the Last Supper. The odds were sharply tilted against them.

They were holed up in a building that was only fifty miles into the Nether, which was way too close to Libria. To add to that there were too many entry points into the building and not enough escape routes. This place was anything but a fortress; it was a rebel?s nightmare. The Tetragrammaton wouldn?t even have to send in the Clerics to make short work of him and his men in this place.

?Captain Plymouth!? shouted one of Sam?s men as he stormed through the doorway of his makeshift command center.

?What is it, kid?? he asked the young soldier.

?Their coming!? he said as he pointed to the window.

Sam rose from his desk and walked over to the window overlooking much of the ruins of the prewar world. In the distance he saw dust blowing in the wind being kicked up by fast moving vehicles heading their way.

?Three minutes,? Sam decided, ?get everyone ready, get the painting and head as far away from here as you can.?

?Yes sir,? the boy said, and scurried down stairs.

Sam didn?t waste any time wondering how they found them, in stead, he took out a cigarette, his personal favorite EC-10, and lit it up.

He began assembling his sniper rifle, trying not to think about having to face a certain Cleric, when suddenly?

?THEY?RE HERE!!? shouted one of his men from downstairs.

?Damn it!? he thought aloud, it was a trick.

He finished assembling his rifle and ran over to the window. Aiming down at the entrance that they were storming, he picked off as many as he could, but it was too late.

    ONE HOUR LATER

Sam was the last one left; the bastards had killed every single one of his men and had left him alive to live with it. Of course they?d have no idea what that did to him emotionally, they were nothing but walking vessels of organs. Apathy governed their minds completely.

?Samuel Plymouth,? said a man in a

    Name: Lou Chen
    Gender: Male
    Age: 23
    Hair: Balck with silver highlights
    Eyes: Brown
    Height: 5'10"
    Weight: 150lbs
Appearence: Lou dresses in dark clothes, usually a black hoodie with a band logo, black jeans and black shell top addidas.

Bio: Chen is an NRF ( Nether Resistance Fighter ). He was burn into the resistance, which has been a way of life for him. When he was young Chen used to watch Star Wars as many times as he was able and always day dream about becoming a jedi, or something close to it. He also loved Martial Art Movies, Hip-Hop music and everything Urban. He went so far as to learn Capoeira and Break Dancing, which he fused into a unique fighting style. Wild-style Kung Fu.

As he grew, Chen appreciated his father's work in the NRF and loved to hear stories about the things they salvaged. He despised the clerics and the torchers. They were always the cause of much suffering. One day, there was a raid from which his father never returned and was assumed killed. But that was not the only thing lost. The last copy of the Star Wars Anthology was destroyed in the fire and Chen cried for days after that. Several weeks after his loss, Chen joined the NRF. He now specializes in salvaging old martial arts movies, magazines and praphenalia as well as remixed music cds and anything to do with the urban scene, like hoodies with band logos, posters with graffitti and the like.

Chen's skills in martial arts and acrobatics help him in tight situation. He's never fought a cleric before and he has no delusions in doing so, but he has a strange feeling that one day he might have to face up to one, thanks to his line of work, so he trains religiously because of this.

Chen hates the Clerics and despises guns. He also wonders if the NRF will do anything to save Captain Plymouth, before he gets the bright idea of a rescue attempt on his own.

    Name: Sam Plymouth
    Age: 32
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Tall and charismatic. Has a pair of hazel eyes, usually wears a hoodie underneath a leather jacket coupled with blue jeans. His hair is long, brown and unruly and he has a bit more than a five o'clock shadow on his face.
    Affiliation: Nether Resistance Fighters (NRF/Nurfs)
Specialty (weapons, computer hacking, car hot-wiring, be creative): Sam can drive, shoot, and reason exceptionally well. He's a brilliant shot with a sniper rifle and seemingly is a lot better with other firearms than he lets on. He is also a very formidable hand-to hand fighter but was never any good with melee weapons.
Bio: Sam's background is shrouded in a veil of mystery and secrecy. Not many people know much about anything he's done before eight years ago, however since then he's been nothing short of a hero.
He's been involved in more operations than Jurgen himself and climbed the ranks of the NRF faster than a rocket in the sky.
According to recent rumors, he's been off the dose for ten years and killed a cleric once. No evidence has appeared to support any of them, however.
Sam's capture by the Tetragrammaton will have enormous repercussions if he is not soon rescued, Jurgen knows this and is taking steps to do something about it.

    Name: Louis Smith
    Age: 30
    Gender: Male
Appearance: 6 foot 2 Wears his black hair slicked back and is always clean shaved. He wears the standard Grammaton Cleric uniform.
    Affiliation: Grammaton Cleric
Specialty (weapons, computer hacking, car hotwiring, be creative): Dual Pistols, is a master of Gun-Kata, Hand to hand combat, and melee weapons.
Bio: Louis may not be the best Cleric in Libria but he's close. Raised in Libria his whole life and never missed a dose in his life.
Louis Smith is the quintessential opposite of Sam Plymouth. He, like Sam has been involved in countless operations and has never failed. He's the perfect killing machine.

Edward always knew what he wanted to do, he would be a soldier, prepare himself to defend Father from those who would not accept truth, from those who made the world bad.

He worked his body hard and soon joined the academy to defend Father from evil. He became a soldier at age 20, and has been as elite as a normal soldier can be, a captain. He is the perfect instrument of Father and his clerics, the tool to be used by their hands.

    Affiliation: NRF
    Specialty: Swordsmanship,stealth, painter
Bio : Since he could remember the idea was blending. Prozium was the bindign force that help society around him. Yet he at some point "misplaced" his prozium, slipping out of the comma. He soon was marked a sense offender. He fled he resides in the nethers. In a small warehouse painting, hording his own stash of
    EC-10 materials.

He still has his old CD's of all the bands he once knew. He believes keeping a gun almost relates him to those of the Tetragrammton, so he carries a pair of Katana's from fuedal japan. He also wears a pair of red contacts to further himself from those of Libria.

He has relations with the NRF, but rarely engages in their exploits. He prefered smash and grab runs on Libria. He enjoys running amuck in the city and disappearing like a wraith. He with no doubt would die at the hands of a cleric, if they could catch him.

He's currently recovering from two bullet wounds to the leg from a Cleric who nearly had him if it weren't for the alarm to inject his interval. Conformaity was the very reason why he didn't catch Dan.

    **APPROVED**

    Name: Katie Sutherland (Kat)
    Age: 12
    Gender: Female
Appearance: She is small, and rather lanky in apperance. Long brown hair, dark brown, almost black eyes. When she's on the surface, she is most prim and proper, wearing what would be considered..appropriate. Long blue coat, black pants and white long sleeved shirt with vest. Flat shoes. Big hat.

When she is underground however, she wears is blue jeans, T shirts with various sayings, or jerseys...loose jacket and sneakers. Anything big and floopy.

Affiliation: She helps the Resistance group whenever she can, by locating all the EC-10 items she can find, that she cant carry off herself, and then telling them about it so that they can save it.

Specialty: Electronics, Pathworking, hacking. Slings, and wristrockets (Slingshots)

    Bio:
Katie is an unusual in one special way. She is naturally immune to the effects of Prozium. She learned this early. She has moved many places, as she is an orphan. She has no idea what happened to her natural parents. She spent alot of time, studying people, and can read them pretty good, so that she could walk around topside, without drawing attention. She will dissapear however, if she smells a cleric nearby. Its almost like she can sense them.

Katie has exceptional hearing and the ability to see in the dark. She is also a contortionist, and can slip into and through some of the tinest cracks and holes, to get to certain places.

Katie loves music, and scrounges every CD and player she can manage. She dosent care what kind either. She had learned to appreciate all of it. Ipods, and other music devices, things small she can carry are good too. She had even rangled some music from old cell phones, and other devices that held old music files. Her other love is old hand held gaming systems, she can play with, using them to pass the time when she is underground. She has a tiny mouse she keeps as a pet. And she has taught it a few tricks, useful when she is trying to liberate or locate certain items. She hasnt really run into too many kids, and at times gets lonely for company. She is also good at electronics, having learned how to bypass and patchwork the few items she has found, so she has learned to hotwire quite a few things. Security, audio, and power being her favorite things to mess with.

She dosent like guns..way too noisy. So she prefers slingshots, pistol crossbows, and slings. She also rigged up a little something in case anyone tries to grab her, which will deliver a very nasty shock.

Appearance: Stands 6?2 and weighs 190 pounds. He is fairly muscular but is not the strongest. His dark brown hair is cute very short and his hazel eyes have the look about them o a man who has seen many traumatizing experiences in his life. He bears scars across his abdomen, right shoulder and one across his back.
    Affiliation: underground Resistance
Specialty: Gaz is a designated weapons expert, but where he shines is his marksman ability, which has landed him on the top list of snipers in the Underground.
Bio: Born to an upper class family in Libria, Gaz was raised as an only child. His mother and father worked as scientists who worked to develop newer, better serums of Prozium for the inhabitants of Libria. As Gaz grew older, he and his friends fell into a group of what the government called ?cultist radicals?. These cultists were actually an underground group of men and women headed by a man named Jurgen. They preached to Gaz and his friends about what the Tetragrammaton was doing to the people of Libria. They also endorsed that Gaz wean themselves off of the drug that had poisoned their mind.

Gaz soon became a member of this underground movement and slowly but surely weaned himself of the Prozium. Soon the government heard about Gaz and his friends when one of Gaz?s friends ratted them out. As a result all of Gaz?s friends and even his family were killed while they slept or were imprisoned. Gaz was the only one not caught and soon after became a full fledged member of the underground.

Alright we're gonna start now because we (Grey, Cemero, and I) can't really wait any longer. All three of the following character posts were written by the players behind them.

    IC: Daniel Murano

It was as clear as could be, break into the Archives Chambers. There he?d have no problem making his way into the prisoner records. For all Libria?s prowess they were easily invaded. However clerics don?t run security, if they did he?d have never gotten as far as he did. His coat whirled behind him as he ducked behind a small desk. The office was across the hall, the plain white lights threw light on the cold gray stone walls. It was everything he didn?t know. He waited for two security members to walk by and they passed he stuck out his leg and thrust it into the knee cap of the one man. Dan covered his mouth as he fell so he could not scream, the second man went to reach for his gun. As he did Dan the grabbed him by the neck and wrenched his arm back twisting his neck and snapping it. He then did the same to the first guard.

He left the bodies because he knew he would be out of the building before anybody would find them. He ripped the security tag from the guards, then springing to the door he swiped the card. The door swung open, he was in at last and within seconds he was searching the records. It was quite apart for the senseless babble from ?father?s? daily lessons. ?In uniformity we shall find harmony?? he heard. He laughed ?with uniformity we have only conflict. Keep a bird in it?s cage long enough and it will find the way to pick the lock? he spoke silently. As he searched the prisoner records, he felt the cold uniformity almost infected him as the inaudible preaching played on around him. Father?s image on every holo screen in eyes sight. Finally he found it, Sam Plymouth?captured. He was surprised, even though he knew? he still was shocked. Sam was to be murdered in flame soon. His anger boiled, the NRF had to stop this. He immediately wrote down the information he needed. He then furthered his reach into the network, with a smirk he spoke ?,and for fun? lights out? he said as he overwrote the lighting grid and just put Libria on a twenty four minute power outage.

He fled the room he was in. Darting out into the hallway where suddenly two security guards stood with swords. They saw him and charged. He quickly pulled his ancient katana from the sheath. He slashes straight through the first pulled the sword through the corpse he drove it into the torso of the second wrenching it and pulling it out. The two corpses dropped. He quickly scurried out of the hall and into the vent, the power outage prevented word of Dan?s entrance and his exit to go unnoticed since nobody could relay information faster than his blade could silence them.

He was home free, heading out of the side of the building , it was an easy run down some catwalks and hiding on some trucks until he was safely back in the Nether.

    IC: Sam Plymouth/Louis Smith
    Location: Interrogation Chambers

The two stood on opposite ends of the table starring each other down. One empty and devoid of all traces of emotion, the other drowning in rage. The camera hanging above the table reminded Sam what it was like to live in Libria. Father is always watching.

?How long have you been off the dose of Prozium, Samuel?? asked the Cleric, Sam said nothing, sitting in defiant silence, ?How long has it been now, eight years??

?Ten,? replied Sam, one word answers was all he?d give the Cleric.

?How many resistance fighters are there?? asked Louis.

Again, Sam sat in silence, not making eye contact, tapping his fingers on the table to the tune of ?Paint it Black? by the Rolling Stones. Ironic, he thought, the song seemed to sum up the intent of the Tetragrammaton entirely. ?No colors anymore, I want to paint it black,? he mouthed without actually saying it.

?What was that?? Smith asked, confused by the concept of music.

?You wouldn?t understand,? explained Sam, ?too much ?emotional content?.?

    ?Enlighten me,? s

Beth leaned back in her chair slightly, feet propped up on an old table. She had been working on a salvaged motorbike when the meeting had been called and so was still in her mechanic's jumpsuit. She absent mindedly played with a stand of her hair, thinking.
Going into Libria and mounting a major rescue operation was suicide, but at least they all knew that. They were open and honest here in the Nethers, they didn't have many secrets. Secrets were a part of the Librian's world. And loyalty was a part of their world.

Without another moment thinking, she raised her hand.
"I'll go. Sam is too important to our cause to let them get him. But it will be difficult. If I can get a map, even a rough one, of the route they'll take him on I can find out the best exit points, what equipment we'll need and the best places to position any shooters if needed." She paused, thinking about what else they might need.
"Also," She began slowly, "We might want to look into somehting as a distraction. They'll be so focussed on Sam they might not see something big coming at them from elsewhere. And it would have to be big in order to divide them enough to lessen the guard on Sam."
She had been thinking aloud, but she was at least throwing out ideas that might be useful.

Sam was a decent guy in the few times they had met. He didn't want to talk about his life before being a Nurf too much, but he was a good leader, the best they had.

Watching all speaking from the back of the room he regarded Lou Chen and Beth. Never had he worked with them, but he's heard stories. He spoke up respondign to Beth's statement, "if you want a distraction, I'm your man. No need to waste fighters on a distraction. I'll do it, take out the power grid is always been a hobby of sorts."

He enjoyed derailing society for a few moments, it's how he first got off the dose. Something cause the Libria to lose power and when the lights finally came back he'd broken his prozium injector in the commotion.Ever since he's be a resistance fighter. He moved from the wall, he heard some voices opposing a one man distraction. "You all know better than any I'm the only one who can do this. I may even get lucky and get Sam in the process..." a voice interrupted "what about if you have to take on a cleric." Dan was no fool he knew he couldn't kill a Cleric but he sure as hell wasn't dumb enough to get caught in their kata. He studied true katas, Bushido, Kanama, katas of the ancient samurai. This isn't to say he could fight a cleric, more to say he wouldn't have to. Plus his stealth made it hard for any cleric to track him down.He adressed the man's concern, "Either risk me...or risk your leader. Sam is more valuable than me, besides no cleric in the world can catch me, I'm just too fast."

Dan's cocky nature broke through a bit. He became more serious as he tied his sheath strap over his shoulder and buckled it. "However I do suggest doing this with a partner to my aid, so that when I cripple them somebody can go in for the kill, so to speak."

Katie shed her clothing, quickly changing from her 'uniform' as she called it, to her more comfortable clothing. She had to, no way she wanted to ruin her other clothes. But she felt more alive now. Nobody was around to see her. She had spent the last hour, double tracking, laying false tracks, and a few traps, before she made her way towards where she called home.

She had managed to snag a few batteries while she was getting food. A fantastic find for her, for it would allow her to entertain herself for awhile. A bit more twisting and turning, before she finally made it to her junction, close to where she lived. By now, she had placed everything into a small bag. Typing a tiny piece of rope to it, she squeezed her way through a tiny opening, pulling the bag behind her. Once she had her bag back into her hands, she took off running.

Not long afterwards, she was home. Her safe place. As she got close, she checked what she called her 'signals'. Little tale-tale signs that would let her know if something had breached her area. All clear.

Kat tossed her bag down and fell on her tiny sleeping area. She leaned over, and turned up the tiny lap she had sitting on a table. She made a small clicking sound, as she reached into her pocket.

"Walter?!,,,Come on Walter...I got ya something to eat." she called out, as she laid some dry bread and a bit of cheese on the a tiny box. A few seconds later, a tiny mouse came over, wriggling its nose at her feet. With a laugh, she reached down, picking up the mouse. "You almost missed dinner. Come one, enjoy it while its here." She stated as she placed the mouse on the box. Walter shot stright over towards the meal she had left out for him, and began munching away, tiny squeeking sounds coming from him. Kat gently petted his head, then turned away to flop back down on her bed. She watched the tiny mouse as he ate.

"You got it lucky. Dont have to listen to that dribble upstairs, all day. Or act like your some kinda robot, zombie, undead sorta thing."

Katie sighed, as she looked up at the ceiling. She was looking at a picture she had. Back when she wasnt so alone. When she had friends. But the Clerics took care of that. One of them got careless. They had just gotten ahold of an old hand-held gamining system..she couldnt even remember the name. But he let the wrong person see it, and they turned him in. Katie shuddered with the memory. They sent in their agents, the younger kids could be rehabilitated. But the older ones...

Katie turned over on her cot. She saw one of the kids after that. She didnt let them see her. His eyes were all glazed, and he acted like thing had taken out the part of him that had made him, him. Only reason they didnt catch Katie, was that one of the older boys shoved her through a tiny passageway. He had been like her older brother. She heard what had happened next. After that had happened, she managed to scrounge up a few basic items that had not been burnt, and ran as far as fast as she could. She stayed alone now. Kat wiped her eyes, feeling the tears well up.

A ticklish sensation, made her look down. Walter was at her legs, sitting up on his haunches, looking at her. She picked him up, cupping her hands. He ran up her arm to her shoulder. Turning the light off, she laid down, feeling Walter curled up next to her.

"Just another day in paradise..." she muttered as she fell asleep.

Beth turned as Dan spoke. She knew him by reputation only, and it was quite the reputation. She looked him up and down, she red eyes giving her a slight start.
'Non conformist much?' She thought to herself with a smile.
"Well a blackout could definately work. I confess I was thinking of something more eleborate, but simple may be best as time won't be on our side."

    She considered other options.
"We'll have to pool all our resources though, that's for sure. Gaz in the underground will probably be willing to help on the weapons front. And if he's still as good a fighter as he always was those Stormtroopers will have no chance."
She ran a hand through her hair. She'd cut it herself, didn't want to look normal. She turned back to face Dan.
"But I like the blackout distraction. Timed right it would cause the right level of chaos, and chaos is exactly what these guys hate. If they could hate anyway."

Beth blew air out in thought and frustration, looking back over to Lou. He was a nice guy, one of the best salvagers they had, especially when it came to martial arts stuff. Beth had found an old VHS of a movie called 'Enter the Dragon' she been meaning to hand over to him. His passion for finding Sam was obvious, but he looked to Beth like he was a little uneasy. But he was taking action, that showed a lot.
"What do you think?" She asked him.

    Lou Chen

    NRF HQ, Conference Room

Lou listened intently at what was being said as his brain worked furiously. The operation was risky enough as it was and he didn't want to add to the risk factor by adding unecessary perils. What would be the point in a rescue attempt if they made things impossible for themselves. But such a factor never entered the equation, it was as if everyone was on the same page, thinking on the same level. It was incredible, what's more, they might just work together with enough efficiency to pull it off.

"I'll go. Sam is too important to our cause to let them get him. But it will be difficult."

Lou was not surprised when Beth volunteered. In fact he knew he would not be lacking in volunteers. The hard part would be telling people they could not come along. As Beth spoke, Lou quietly gave orders here and there.

"If I can get a map, even a rough one, of the route they'll take him on I can find out the best exit points, what equipment we'll need and the best places to position any shooters if needed."

"Hey Greg!" Lou said in a whisper as he listenened to Beth. A youngman in the front row looked over at him. "Get that mapbook of Libria from the Archives.....hurry!"

Greg nodded, then took off like a shot.

"Also, we might want to look into somehting as a distraction. They'll be so focused on Sam they might not see something big coming at them from elsewhere. And it would have to be big in order to divide them enough to lessen the guard on Sam."

"That's a good point." Lou agreed as he brought a hand to rub his chin. But before any idea came to mind, or to anyone else, someone spoke from the back of the room.

"if you want a distraction, I'm your man. No need to waste fighters on a distraction. I'll do it, take out the power grid is always been a hobby of sorts."

Lou's eyes found the speaker and his eyebrows went up. It was Katana Dan as he refered to him. He'd never heard the man speak before, but he did know him by reputation. There was some nay-saying from a group of concerned folks, but Dan's next words brought the argument to a close.

"Either risk me...or risk your leader. Sam is more valuable than me, besides no cleric in the world can catch me, I'm just too fast."

"Then I hope you're right. You're in Dan. You'll provide the distraction, but the timing has to be perfect."

Lou gave the katana weilding resistance fighter a respectful nod, then returned his gaze to Beth, who did not seem offended at all by the interruption. Such things were inconsequential in moments like these.

"Well a blackout could definately work. I confess I was thinking of something more elaborate, but simple may be best as time won't be on our side."

Lou nodded in agreement. "I'd still like to hear your idea when you get the chance. It never hurts to have a back-up plan." he put in quickly.

"We'll have to pool all our resources though, that's for sure. Gaz in the underground will probably be willing to help on the weapons front. And if he's still as good a fighter as he always was those Stormtroopers will have no chance."

Lou couldn't help but smile at the use of the word 'stormtrooper'. He wondered if she knew how much he loved Star Wars. Looking to his right, Lou made a handsign to a woman, bringing up his hand to the side of his face as if he were talking on a phone and mouthed the word 'GAZ'. The woman nodded in understanding and got up to promptly leave the room.

Beth ran a hand through her hair, turned back to face Dan. "But I like the blackout distraction. Timed right it would cause the right level of chaos, and chaos is exactly what these guys hate. If they could hate anyway."

There was a general chuckle in the room at Beth's jab to Libria's emotionally neutered populance.

Beth exhaled the looked back at Lou.

"What do you think?" She asked.

"It's coming together....good, good, and thank you, both of you." Lou said, nodding his thanks to Beth and Dan.

"Who else will join the rescue team? I'll take eight

Non seemed to oppose. Beth and he stood with the map on the desk. Very rarely did he come out for these kinds of meetings. But when he heard Sam was taken in , he had to. He now stood across from Beth. His red contacts gave him more than a few dirty looks. "Scene" used be his label, now he just wanted to be "seen" as him not a number.

"I'm Dan" he said to Beth as he walked over and gave her a frienly hug, emotion is one thing he was full of. He glared at Lou Chen with admiration, he was a great fighter. He envied his fighting style, he was a little too shy to approach him. He glanced back down at map, he saw his options and pointed. "The Archive Chambers is the main point on the grid, and it's close enough to the Hall of Judgement..." he deliberated. "When I kill the power we'd have twenty four minutes at most..." it grew quite as the crowded room fell ill with that news. He knew twenty four minutes is a very short window to do what they needed to do.

    Tetragrammaton

Nadia sat down at her new desk and looked it over. Much like her old desk, except wider and with some extra equipment - the same document folder, some stationery, a personal computer. Nothing unfamiliar.

More importantly: it was in the hall of the Grammaton Clerics.

If Nadia were capable of feeling such emotion, she would be overflowing with pride and satisfaction. For as long as she could remember, she had been training to be a Cleric: hours upon hours of studying Father's word, the gruelling hours of training in the Gun Kata, the pressure to excel. The Clerics were the pinnacle of Libran law enforcement, the final line of defence of their way of life against the chaos of the Nether. For a Cleric to be anything but the best was unacceptable.

They also worked in pairs. Nadia pulled off her gloves and hit a few keys on her computer; she had not yet been assigned a partner. Curious. Hers was not the place to question, though, so she merely presumed that she was to go solo for the time being. The newly minted Cleric hit a few more keys, calling up recent reports of resistance activity. Might as well make herself useful.

Most of it were routine matters, but under the Recently Captured listing was Samuel Plymouth, by all reports a man highly placed in the Resistance.

    Interesting.
