La formation Genesis a annoncé aujourd'hui les détails de sa nouvelle tournée baptisée «Turn It On Again» qui prendra son envol en Europe à l'été 2007. Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford et Tony Banks participeront à cette tournée, la première du groupe en quinze ans.

Cette première portion de la tournée se déroulera en Europe et elle débutera le 11 juin prochain au stade olympique de Helsinski et elle se terminera le 14 juillet à Rome. Les pays visités sont la Finlande, le Danemark, la Suisse, l'Autriche, la Hongrie, la Pologne, l'Allemagne, la France, les Pays-Bas, la Grande-Bretagne, Monte Carlo et l'Italie. La conférence de presse du groupe n'a pas précisé les plans précis d'une éventuelle tournée nord-américaine mais Collins a affirmé que si la demande était présente, il y aurait des concerts annoncés dans d'autres parties du monde dont l'Amérique. En fait, une vingtaine de dates nord-américaines seraient déjà à l'agenda du groupe.

Lors de la tournée «Turn It On Again», les trois musiciens seront également accompagnés sur scène par le batteur Chester Thompson et le guitariste Daryl Steurmer.

Pour coïncider avec la tournée, EMI Records relancera les 14 albums studio du groupe en trois étapes en 2007. Tous les albums seront lancés en format SACD/DVD double disque et présenté avec une nouvelle matrice 5.1 son ambiophonique et des mixtes stéréo.
