The first thing to note, I suppose, is that John Terry is not going to be risked against France, but Sven says he'll be fine for the Switzerland game.

The second thing to note is that French striker David Trezeguet is looking hopeful to be fit...

I just hope Marcel Desailly is fit, because he'll be an easy target for Owen's pace.

I think Sven is stupid not to have picked Wes Brown. England were already light on central defenders and it was obvious we'd be in trouble if anything happened to Terry or Campbell, and Brown has been playing very well recently and had a great game against Arsenal a couple of months ago and did well against Henry. Now we're stuck with King or Carragher. Oh well, we'll still beat the frogs (no offense intended).

Nebucchad - Those are excellent. I wish I could wear that England one.

Anyone know exactly what became of the sporting icons thing in COMMS? Did Raven withdraw the proposal? Because I'm still seeing Pistons icons about.

Spain doesn't win the title, because they are just no team for a championship.

Who knows? We might surprise you? ;)

I was thinking... Spain never wins because this is a country based on traditions, and one of our most beloved traditions is watching our football team losing in quarters :p

Think about then 1966 finals, where the "famous wembley goal" counted although it wasn't one [face_mischief].

Or 1986 where we lost against argentina :_|.
